I have just been reduced to a waste of gas.
"Can you drop me off here so I can grab something to eat while you and the boys go about your business, then come back to get me when you're done?"
"You just said it yourself (in previous convo) that it would be a waste of gas."
I wonder if I shouldn't just start taking cabs when I need to go out, wonder what the going rate is these days.
"What's wrong dear?"
"I don't feel like talking, leave me the fuck alone."
I hate my life in this moment.

Thoughts on You

"She wants to be set free
Wants the space to feel love and be angry"
Tom Cochrane - Wish You Well

It's a beautiful night out tonight. Slight breeze, warm. It's my quiet after the storm.
Other than cleaning all day today and making a fabulous meal for my visiting FIL, I had a wonderful day with my boys. They were calm, and reasonable.
The calendar has filled up quickly this month with new and old obligations and I'm surprised that it's gotten so full, so quickly.

"When I see my Honey Bee
Well I got somethin' to say"
Tom Petty - Honey Bee

I feel...
All day today as I was listening to my music, and doing my days' work, I kept dreaming up words to the thoughts that were roaming in my head.
I wish...
I want you...
I want you to hold me, I want you to kiss me.
I want to feel the heat in your veins blend with mine and make this home disappear.
I want you to take me away, to be alone with nothing but your heartbeat.
I yearn for you to make my world sway with your passion.
I want to feel languid in your embrace, and fall asleep there while you whisper in my ear.
I want you to tell me everything in your heart, to feel your words course through my system until there's nothing left of me.

"But nothing's greater than the rush
That comes with your embrace
And in this world of loneliness I see your face"
Leona Lewis - Bleeding Love

Yup, it's official...

I'm invalid.
Seriously. Taking a step back to when I was pondering moving here to Ohio, I knew things didn't usually work out for us, either through our own fault, or through some freak happening that always works against us. Sure enough, being the trusting fool that I am, I thought...ok, when we move it'll all be alright. Our "lawyer" says I'll be able to work no problem. That was my first mistake.
I should have waited until the f*in paperwork was in my hands before I even budged, seriously. I know better in these situations. I was foolish, and naive, and believed that everything could possibly work itself out.
First rug to come out from under me, I couldn't work when I arrived. Second rug was my lack of citizenship, and possible barring from the country. Now when I leave I won't be able to file anything until another 10 years (if at all) has gone by. Last rug. I don't qualify for an Ohio's Driver's License, so the company that handles our insurance has removed me from their policy.
Yup...I'm no longer allowed to drive.
This time last year I was homesick for a whole different set of reasons, now I'm just waiting to find a place where I belong...where I'm allowed.
I don't qualify for health care, I don't qualify as a dependent cause I don't have a SS#, I can't work, and now I can't even drive. I'm officially a prisoner. My life has just been reduced to what I can walk to, and nothing further unless someone can drive me. Does anyone want to wager how often I'll get time alone to myself out of the house now? No more late night shopping trips where everything is quiet for me. No more quick runs to the Drive Thru to fulfill late night cravings. No more heading out to meet a friend for a drink or to go shopping together. No more PTO meetings without a chauffer. That means my life will officially be scheduled around everyone else's business because I don't matter now. I'm barely even a person.
Yeah...I'm feeling sorry for myself.

In Which I Get My A** Kicked In Ice Skating

Today was the day the 1st graders went to the local Ice Arena, and my Mr & I volunteered to go along as chaperons and help out.
We had fun, helped the kids manage themselves accordingly, and I had a billion & 1 pictures. Nearing the end of the ice-capades, I turn around to head off the ice for a minute, and I realize my skates have crossed and I start leaning over. I have my camera in my hands in front of me, and rather than falling forward on it, I decided to lean backwards and fall that way to protect it. I fall, and roll with it. I flopped back up on my head, then forwards onto my butt when my camera flies out of my hands, and as I go back once more the damned thing flies up in the air...and makes a sickening thud...on my face.
Yup, my face saved my camera. Well all the other parents rushed over to check on me, and I'm giggling. "I'm okay!" I say, and "I was just worried about my camera, but it's safe now". They asked about the god-awful thudding noise, and I explain it wasn't me hitting the ice, it was my camera colliding with my face. Yup, anything for a picture. So, now I've got this huge fat lip, and a bruise on my elbow, but I'm feeling pretty good that I got as many great shots of the kids as I did.
The ice kicked my ass today...but I'm just glad it didn't pack as much of a punch as my camera does.
