Yeah. I had a moment this morning where I swear I thought I was going to need some serious medication. I thought I was certifiably crazy.
Made it to the dentists this morning to have a bit of adjustment, as I've been suffering massive headaches in the evenings since I had my fillings done last week.
Well, they did the work, drilling it down a bit, and checking, rechecking, and adjusting some more. No needles or freezing needed. In and out in 30 minutes. That didn't stop me from being tense though.
Afterwards I had to come home and hoof it over to the school for my regular Tuesday Reading, and I was early so spent a few extra moments getting my folders & books ready. The shelf where all of our supplies are, is right across from the school library.
So, I'm standing there sorting through my stuff, and I hear drilling. I hear the suction machine.
I stopped what I was doing and I could feel the blood drain from my face as I was just standing there with this stupid horrified look on my face.
"Oh My God", I thought. "I wasn't worried about this mornings appointment, is this residual fear??" I began panicking thinking that I needed to cancel my reading sessions and go home to lie down and calm myself.
Fear was setting my bones, I could feel it creep through my entire body and tingling worse as I kept hearing the drill & suction noises.
Then I notice someone walk out of the library out of the corner of my eye. I look over and it's a Dental Assistant wearing a mask, and protective eye wear, and removing her gloves.
Holy Shit. I've gone off my rocker.
I walk over to the library door and peek in...and it dawns on me.
Today was the day for the "Mobile Dentist" to pay a visit to our school.
Breathe. Chuckle. Wow...that was close.
I've never been so worried about my sanity in my entire life. And I've never laughed so hard at myself. The poor K teacher (classroom right next to the library) must've thought I was crazy laughing like that in the school hallway.

That's a scene right out of a sitcom! Very funny!
You are WAY too funny. Thanks for sharing...
I would have thought the same thing. I have to say...I hallucinated like crazy at the hospital when I hadn't slept over 36 hours and they cave me Ultracets for the pain. That was WAY freaky.
too funny , glad it was dental day at the school!
lmao. Wow that had to be krazy right there. I think we would've all been thinking we needed a straight jacket that day. lol
lol wow
hahahaha ...too funny!
Glad you're ok!
that sounds creepy!! Not only the doubting your own sanity part, but hearing a drill and then seeing a dentist somewhere they "shouldn't" normally be..? I think I would a passed out right there! I see kitten says it sounds like a scene out of a sitcom, more a horror movie if you ask me!!
