Well, lastnight was eventful.
I ended up taking Tia down to the Animal Hospital lastnight at about 10:30. Poor thing looked terrible. She's been puking all over the place since Christmas, and yesterday she was having a tough time standing and she was real weak and meek.
Just got a call from the Vet. they said it would cost 1400 todo an exploratory surgery to remove what they call a "Long object". Cat's have a fairly quick track that passes things within hours and since it's been three days it's not likely she can pass it on her own. They also said if left in there it stands that it could possibly rupture her intestine on it's own because it's not moving, and it's causing it to accordian.
They've got her on two IV's one for fluids and one for anti-biotics. They also said she's looking very bright this morning. They don't take payments for surgery. That's just dumb.
Stupid fucking Vet

WAY TOO COOL!
Oh my god!
We bought Hunter a Jolly Jumper today. He hasn't stopped bouncing since he figured out what it was for. That was a half an hour ago. Finally something that has as much stamina as he does.
He looked up at the blue bar above his head like, what is that for? But then he caught on that it was for his fun...and away he went!
He just loves it!
Look at Flickr for the pictures, but I have an awesome video of the first moments.

Sad
Well, here I am.
We missed Pokie and Steven's leaving. :o(
We went Thrift shopping today, and on the way home decided to stop at the grocery store to buy extra dinner items cause we assumed Trevor and his Girlfriend would want dinner (Pokie mentioned this as payment before) and by the time we got back they were gone. :o(
I'm disappointed, but it was probly me holding us up when I stepped into Zellers that made us late coming back. Damn me and my shopping.
I got a purse for myself, Van Helsing (4.97!) and Just Friends. Plus some chocolate, laundry soap (even gramma commented on how much laundry I do) and Cranberry Giger Ale. That was my Christmas gift (30 G/C).
Now we're back, and lazilly making dinner and such. Oh boy.

Boxing Day
Well, here we are on Boxing Day.
What a weekend. Friday we went to Roger and Cathy's, and had a good visit.
Saturday I was sick, Sunday I was feeling better but we didn't do anything.
We dawdled all day awaiting midnight, and I got D down by 9.
Harry came over and we wrapped up a quick gift for him.
Midnight arrived and Chance began handing out gifts, while I took mega-pictures.
I took 248 pictures, and I had 10 videos on my camera when I unloaded it lastnight.
All going to Flickr of course.
We left Darius overnight as we dragged our butts home, and then we got awoken to a phone call . D was on the other end "Can I open my presents now mommy?"
So, we got dressed and came back to mom's house.
This whole seperate house thing is a hassel and it's costing us gas money.
Anyhow, we no sooner got in the door and D was tearing into gifts, and I was scrambling for my camera.
I took bunches of pictures, but my camera wasn't focusing properly, and I discovered my batteries were dying. Then I discovered that my replacements were dead too, so I really didn't have a choice but to use the ones I had.
Got a few really good pictures though.
Today I plan on hitting Zellers to use a $30 gift card at some point...hopefully I'll find a good deal.
I slept at mom's house lastnight.
I had intentions of playing Wii with Pokie all night, but I relented and let Chance come back (I had sent him home with D&Ralph to put D to sleep) and Hunter came out with mom, and I got stuck on the couch with him. Chance didn't even offer to hold him once. The whole reason why I booted him out to begin with is because he has a tendancy to get in the way of me having fun with my family. Occasionally (on the few times I do see my family) I enjoy playing with my family child-free. Doesn't happen very often, and I'm pretty mad about it. Only because I can play with Hunter around, but the fact that he cared more about having fun himself, than offering to let me play while holding Hunter, or even switching off, didn't even occure to him, really pisses me off.
After we arrived yesterday I had an energy boost, so I started on making desserts and such. Gramma joined me not long afterwards, and we got all of our holiday baking done in one morning!
We had chocolate pudding, upside-down Rhubarb cake, upside-down peach cake, cherry biscuits, mixed fruit biscuits, strawberry rhubarb pie, strawberry pie, and an apple pie. Was a lot of baking to pop off on one morning.
Afterwards, we started on dinner stuff. I chopped and sliced all veggied and got them ready in pots sitting on the stove, while mom prepared the Turkey.
Was a long afternoon. I could've used a nap...but no such luck.
Dinner was at about 7.
Us older women dyed our hair Auburn while we waited. I did Gramma and Mom's, and mom did mine. My blonde streaks turned red instead of Auburn, and Gramma looks interesting. I don't think she thought she'd go quite that extreme.
So, anywho...here I am, frantically trying to upload pictures before the stupid computer shuts down me.

Christmas
Wowee.
I have 248 pictures to unload on my camera!
Serves me right for not unloading for a week, especially during a special time.
Anywho...my fever was only one day lasting...thank god. I swear, if Ihad felt that horrible two days in a row, I would've taken drastic measures.
Christmas went well, and I got tons of pictures. I had a blast.
We stayed up until midnight, but put D down to sleep at 10pm. He slept over at mom's, while I took Hunter home with me.
We awoke this morning to the phone ringing and it was D, "can I open my presents now mommy?"
So, we threw on some clothing, then packed up the few things we needed, and drug our sleepy behinds over to mom's house. We arrived, and no sooner did I take off my shoes, than I had to snag my camera and D started tearing into his gifts.
They both scored big time this year, and they did real well.
I got a few real good ones which will be posted on Flickr later on.
I did a tremendous amount of work in the kitchen today.
Got strawberries sliced and ready for the pies (I froze them back during the summer), and instructed gramma on what to make to go with the fruit that I was preparing.
Then i chopped all veggies for dinner tonight, and got a meat and cheese platter ready for our all day snack fest.
I just d/l-ed all the pictures, then I'm thinkin i may just take a nap with Hunter.
As far as I know, Harry will be joining us for dinner. Oh boy, I can taste the Turkey now.

Sheesh.
I woke up with a raging fever this morning...I could've been in tears had my grandparents not been here. My back was so sensitive that it felt on fire, and my whole body was aching. Thank goodness I didn't put up with it for too long cause I broke down and took 2extra strength tylenols and sat over a heating vent while the furnace was blowing hot air. Broke me into a sweat and warmed me up (I was freezing prior to) and made me feel more comfortable.
Ralph took TJ out for a walk and we're waiting on them to get back before we head over to mom's house.
Steven and Candice arrived lastnight and they had to come get mom's housekey from me at Roger and Cathy's.
We visited Roger and Cathy for about 3 hours, from 7-10 lastnight, and it was a good visit. We had fun, and afterwards we went to welcome S&C here.
So, we arrived at mom's to find Pokie trying to hook up her new Wii, and then the fun really began.
Chance, Pokie and I had a blast trying out the tester sports game that it came with. I wa laughing so hard at one point that I was giving H a milk-shake, and I swear I was trying my hardest not to wet myself as at that point I really had to go. We had fun for about 3 hours of trying it out, and then I came home with H, and Chance spent the night there with D.
So, I'm feeling loads better with this Tylenol, and we'll be leaving soon for Mom's. Dunno what we're gonna get up to today, but we've been invited back to Roger and Cathy's for a visit with all of us.
We shall see...
It's snowing outside.
:oD

Yipes.
Okie, so I'm bagged.
Did I mention I stayed up until 5:30 this morning? I can't remember and I'm too lazy to check. I got up with the kids at 9 and have been up ever since.
We went for dinner down at the School for their Community Dinner. Yummy food!
The kids each got a seperate visit with Santa, and each got a way cool gift from him. D got a snowsled guy with a skiwdoo and a sleddog. H got a Mr. Potatohead with a carrying case.
I'm so tired now I might as well be a zombie. I figured since we were coming to mom's I'd just come on in and d/l my pictures and be done with it.
We had fun tonight, D played with all of the other kids, and I had some yummy food.
Got some great pictures.
Wow...I'm tired.
I need a pepsi. :oD
It was real windy out lastnight.
We're at mom's again, but without our usual supplies.
So, we'll need to go back home and pick up a few things, and get a few things done before coming back to wait for the wonderful man who'll be coming to service my serger. ;o)
Gramma and Ralph and TJ arrive today.
Shipped Chance off by 5 this morning, so I'm rather tired.
Here's to caffine!

Yahooo!
We've finished our shoppin just today.
Gotta wrap when the kids aren't awake. Hunter aways wants the shiny scissors(I'm having a brain fart and can't spell this word right now.) and D alwaya wants to open what's under the tree.
We went and got the kids' picture taken with the mall Santa today. I'll see if I can get them online soon.
Darius got his letter back from Santa today, and we also got a card from Roger & Cathy today, looks like we missed their visit :o(.
Hopefully we can visit them soon cause D has been asking and asking.
Attacking the evil laundry and trying to make it look somewhat decent for Gramma & Ralph tommorow.
Pokie & Steven arrive Friday. Oh boy, this season snuck up on me big time. Seems like this whole year has done that.

Score!
Wow
What an incredibly log day.
Very productive though.
Got most boxes sorted through enough, and whittled down and out what I don't want/need. Still getting our room organized though. Hopefully tommorow we'll have our King in our room. and I can start putting my clothes away, like I wanted to today. Unfortuntely with all the extra stuff coming in and how messy the place was to begin with we had to organize before we could bring anything else in. Which just meant that I spent my day cleaning (as usual) and Chance brought one load over from storage.
He also got his cast off today, he says his thumb is still sore, but he has a thing about being bound (I always wondered why he wanted to get married) and had them take it off before he went nuts.
My evil laundry pile is back.
It's windy as shit out tonight, but I actually do need to stay home to make sure stuff gets accomplished.
Harry will be staying the night, Chance actually just left to go get him from work. Apparently he's hitting rough times, and needs a reminder of a good influence, so he'll be visiting with us for a bit. I don't mind, I always did enjoy his company.
I feel like I can't get enough to drink today...I can feel it in my hands just how dry I am.
I've been playing Christmas music on the computer (my new stereo) all day and Chance finally said he's sick of hearing it...lol
Whilst going through stuff today I found a whole bunch of CD's I thought I had lost. I'm so happy! I found my Poodle Hat CD, Beatles One, and a slew of other ones. I had a smile plastered on my face let me tell you.
Gotta do some dishes and get my kitchen cleaned. The problem with having such a small kitchen is that it's easy to make it look messy.
Will be doing some Christmas shopping tommorow, I hope. Now that I don't need to worry about absolutely everyone, it shouldn't be too bad.
Laundry, dishes, meal planning, vacuuming, sweep and washing floors, bathrooms clean, get clothes put away. Hmm, so short on paper.
Added more stuff to my trees...lol. I keep forgetting to take pictures of the three footer I have on our entertainment center, but both of them have added red velvet ribbon bows. It really balances the green garlands we made. I'm now satisfied with our tree.
Guess I should get started on some stuff in here before Hunter wakes up.
FUNNY how This Happens
Well, I could've sworn that I updated my blog over the weekend...but apparently I didn't.
Well, I finished watching all of the movies...all but nacho Libre, I just couldn't bring myself to do it.
Went to Bingo lastnight, but didn't win. Was real relaxing though.
I also had to pay a babysitter to do it. That pisses me off. In order for me to do anything, I need a babysitter to do. Kimmie was even here. I can be left alone with the kids all the time, frequently, everyday and not need a babysitters help.
I'm supposed to be calling a councillor today, hopefully they'll be able to help us.
Oi, I think I'm just angry in general now.

I forgot to add movies to that list.
Pirates of the Caribbean 2: Dead Man's Chest
Ice Age 2: The Meltdown
Clerks 2
Suspect 0
Over the Hedge
Hoodwinked
Monster House
Correction...Hunter Has TWO teeth broken through the gumline. No wonder he's been so unhappy with us the last few days.
Got my Christmas shopping done for my boys now. All I need is everyone else now.
Got three different brands of formula to try H out on, just bought one small concentrate can of each, cause Dr. and Health Clinician both said it would be about taste (all formulas are regulated or the same) which is good to know, and makes things a whole lot easier.
I'm surprised it was so eay to drive around today...I'm quite proud of my car now.
Rented a slew of movies to watch this weekend...
Lucky # Slevin
Lake House
Omen
Ice Age 2
Flight 93
Nacho Libre
Can ya guess what I plano n doing this weekend? ;oD

Friday at last.
Doesn't feel like a friday, feels like a Monday.
Got all my appointments that I set up in the beginning of the week done and over with.
Got all my info, just need to implement now.
Finished my last appointment this morning, and have a positive feeling about how things will work out.
Will be doing some checking into on a few things, but that won't take me too long.
I'd like to do some baking. It's been so long since i've done nay baking. We didn't have any all purpose flour here, but got some from the foodbank.
I'm still trying to get this place cleaned up, but have yet to manage. I did get a couple of pictures up yesterday though. :o)
Will probably be at mom's tonight cause they've issued another high wind warning, and I believe Chance is doing an overnighter at ARC.

My moment of respite for today.
Both kids are napping. It's snowing, I've got all my candles lit, the radio playing thru my comp, and all my christmas lights on.
It's quiet.
I've got laundry to fold, so I'm gonna get to...
It's Over!
There IS a God...the day is over.
Well, rolled outta bed later than usual, thanks to the kids. Got up, and spent the morning with both kids and then went home. Vacuumed, and cleaned up, then made lunch before realizing I had to go to the Food Bank to pick up my hamper.
Holy Scheeze.
If I'da known it was gonna be that much of a fiasco, I would've gone first thing when they opened. As it was, I was forced to go back home (after getting my number and waiting for an hour) and pick up the kids, and jump Chance's truck before I went back to finish off my waiting. When i arrived back I was promptly seen, and then given a series of tickets for different things.
First I got to go through racks and racks of clothing for all of us, and picked out mostly items for myself (I'm guilty, I know) then I was ushered into a room (where they had sitting service, so someone stayed and played/occupied D) that was filled (in an orderly manner) with Christmas Decorations/items, Housewares/furniture, kids toys, adult gifts, baby gifts (all new for the last 3) then used toys, and books. It was amazing. I'm very impressed at how organized and helpful they were. I had a kind lady not only usher me around the room, but she also put each item I chose into a bag and put it with the rest of the things I chose. Then I had to go get my hamper. That in itself was four boxes stashed full worth of food.
I got all the makings of a healthy Christmas dinner. Turkey, stuffing mix, fresh carrots, 10lb bag potatoes, tons of canned food, powdered milk, flour, coffee, sugar, candy for the kids, treats for us adults, and had my pick of loads and loads of bread and buns and other goods that could be frozen.
I have to say that after the scummy beginnings in their main interview office, I felt very special after and while going through the hamper service. I'm curious if it's like that all the time, or if it's just this way now because of Christmas.
Anyhow...took it all home, unloaded it and put everything away (always a chore because everything needs to go into plastic containers to keep any mice out) and picked out something for dinner, packed it and the kids back up and took it over to mom's house.
Made a snack for D & I, ate, packed him back up, took him home, got him changed and decent looking, and packed him over to the local Library where Santa was visiting. We sat for storytime, and listened to live music while we waited in line for our turn. got a good few pictures. After we took a quick walk to visit Chance at work (his work is in a building right behind the library) and sat there for a few minutes.
Went back home to pack up other food items that we had too much of that mom needed, and then came back to mom's house. Collapsed on the couch and promptly became a useless blob.
Mom fed D, while I fed H, and then she got him off to bed. Afterwards she took H and I went in her room to watch a part 3 or a 3 part TV movie called "The Lost Room".
I'm exhasuted, but tommorow's shaping up to be the same kind of day, so I figured I'd post my Santa pictures now, before I collapse. Check Flickr for the rest of them.

Sheesh
Oi.
D turned off the fridge/freezer lastnight while in a misbehaving rampage at mom's house. *sighs*. I ought to have known better. He was tired, and hungry (we were cooking dinner
) and he was getting into everything while I was with his brother and mom was with dinner, and Chance was at home.
Ei yi yi.

High Winds
Lastnight we had a high wind warning...
Can you guess where I'm blogging from? :oD
Yeah, we took refuge at mom's house lastnight, and the pilot light kept going out, and it was raining something fierce.
Did I mention that our gutters have been falling off at our house? They got all filled with junk, and ice, and they just fell off the other day. Thankfully it didn't do any damage, and didn't hurt anyone.
Stayed up doing my Christmas cards, and once I finished those, got the kids into bed.
We all took a nap lastnight, pretty late, and I was surprised that they both went to sleep no problem. Guess we all needed some extra Z's.
Am eating yummy baked spaghetti leftovers from lastnight. yum.
D/l-ed a bunch of pictures to Flickr from our sledding adventures and such.
I've also got some pretty funny videos, but dunno what I'm gonna do with those.
No appointments today, but we do need to go and do a bit of grocery shopping.
We went tot he Food Bank yesterday for our interview, and we're supposed to pick up a hamper on Wednesday between 1 and 5pm. That place was creepy, and I don't mind saying it. I'm sure if they had better facilities, I wouldn'tve felt that way.
So, anyhow...just kickin round mom's house today, hopefully we'll have a relaxing day, cause that's what we need.

Plans
Well then.
After careful revision, we've got our short term plans going on, and have taken proper steps tp incur such goals.
In english I made a buch of appointments today for later in the week. One with the Dr., one with the Wellness Centre lady for Resources, Food Bank tomorow, and made plans for activities for the week.
I'm still working on things at home as well.
It's just sick how productive I can be with two kids.
I'm still working on laundry, though the pile is considerably diminished and almost down to nothing...thank god.
I've finished painting all of the wooden ornaments/decorations that Ronnie sent home with us. Am planning on making paper garlands tonight with D, as well as finishing my X-mas Cards, and picking out the fabrics needed to make the gifts I planned on making.
There are not enough hours in the day.
I'm running in a circle, chasing my tail, and your doing nothing but following.

It's Up
We got our Tree up today...witha bit of fiasco, we squeaked it out.
First mom bought it from Value Village for us (thanx btw) and I got it in the house this morning.
After I got up (my morning to sleep in) I showered and pulled it out, only to find it was missing a section.
As I was getting ready to take it back, I wennt out to our vehicles to switch the car seat over, and discovered the missing piece in Chance's truck.
Hauled it in, and set it up...and it took 2 hours just to adjust all the branches, that's how scrunched they were.
Finished that, then D helped me put on the lights, and hang the ornaments. It looks pretty. It's plan yet cause there's no flashy garlands, but we'll be making those out of paper over the next few days.
We've switched rooms with D, in preration of getting our King sized bed from storage. Still unloading boxes from storage, slowly working and unpacking.
Still working on my never-ending laundry...my poor appliances.
Just finished cooking dinner, and folding loads of laundry...off to eat.
I'm just too productive today.

Friday!
Well this week went by quickly.
Wednesday the roofer was "for sure" coming by but never showed. Yesterday I paid Chelan our rent, finally. Poor woman must've thought us crazy for waiting so long, thank goodness she's so east going.
Went shopping with mom Wednesday and yesterday, looking for a Christmas tree, but couldn't find one for a decent price. Broke mom's bank with all the other sruff we bought tho... :o)
Chance took D to the gym lastnight, and apparently the folks who were there were making fun of D. Chance quoted one of them as saying "Who's kid is being bad again?" I wasn't impressed with the way he handled it...I would've bitten more than a few heads off, and shut them up rather rudely had I been there. But I wasn't, and that's why he was misbehaving.
I had Chance bring over all the boxes from storage so I could go though them. I can't believe all of the stuff that I have now...it feels more like home.
Am making a stew for lunch today...it smells good.
While at the gyn lastnight Chance jammed his thumb on Harry's knee, and that's why he came home earlier than usual. This morning he woke me up so he could go to the Dr.'s. After 2 hours he came back and said it was broken, but he has to wait until Tuesday to get a cast on it so the swelling has an opportunity to go down.
Joy.
He said the Dr. offered him a note for work, which he delined, but he did ask for a note for me, which the Dr. said "you'd be surprised how many men ask for that".
My house is a mess now, cause I hafta wash everything & organize.
My poor washer has done at least 2 loads per day since I got back from Ohio, if not more. I'm worried I'm gonna wear it out.
I found my Serger Manual, hopefully I can fix the problem without it needing serviced, but I doubt it.
Chance's Work Christmas Party is tonight, and Mum & Kimmie are babysitting the kids for us. Yay, an adult night out.

La dee da
Emergency Home Kit
I'm working on one for our house, or at least trying to make everything accessable. Lord knows I have enough boxes that I could toss everything into. Just takes a bit of calculation is all I spose.
Been trying to finish our laundry which just seems to keep on going, I've been running my poor washer and dryer non-stop for the past two days.
Lastnight was our first night back home since we got back from our vacation. I kept waking up cause the wind was blowing hunks of snow ontot he roof from the trees along the side of our house...which is pretty scary cause there's a good 10-20 feet in between us.
I was soooo tired yesterday, thank goodness for caffine or I would've never made it through the day as long as I did.
Am starting on getting H to sleep on his own, and in his playpen in D's room. SO far we've done 1 nap, and no bedtimes...but we've only just begun. We shall see what our future brings us.
We've decided to start home-schooling D, because we can't afford Pre-school, and the teacher I like is leaving, which means he'll have a lady I just don't care for heading up the class. We're looking at scheduals online to help us out. We're also looking into the connection between Left-handedness, and Dyslexia. The other day Chance asked D to write a 3 and he wrote an E instead. He also reads from right to left.
Stuff to ponder in any event.
We've worked out that we'll be picking up Gramma on the 21st, and they'll be bringing their dog with them, otherwise it would be just Gramma coming and not both. She was real happy about that.
Mom's talking about asking for ppl to pitch in for groceries this holiday, instead of us making sure everything in bought with just our funds. It's a thought. :o)
Boy, our house seems to be settled, but I know we're still missing things.

I think I can
The weekend, my favorite part of the week.
So, in reminicing with mom about our trip, I remember more things about our flights than I thought i was capable of.
On our flight to Ohio, we had a female pilot and a stewardess with bedhead. On our flights back from ohio, we had a stewardess that was so unprofessional it made me wonder how she kept her job. Her just above th ekneee skirt was coming down at the hem, she wore knee high boots, and she kept scuffing her heel on the floor. Also on our flight back, she took D up to the cockpit, where the pilot put him on his lap, and showed him all the buttons and stuff. Was cute.

Hotel Adventures
Well, when we finally pulled into Spokane, it was snowy and frickin windy cold.
We managed to struggle our way to the baggage claim, and waited impatiently with both kids while our baggage came out one by one. Loaded up the cart, and momentarily contemplated getting two carts, and decided against it. We carted ourselves over to the phone area, and dialed 2 for our hotel, and requested a shuttle. Ten minutes later they pulled up with a big ass Van. I had mentioned on the phone that they needed to make sure it was big as we had lots of baggage.
We pulled up to the hotel (had a Cali driver) and en route were discussing places to eat and our driver mentioned that they could shuttle us to one of two restauraunts if we asked them to. So, we got unpacked, and refreshed, and hopped back in the van the a nice restaraunt that only had one waiter to serve the entire place...apparently they were short staffed. Needless to say it took over an hour to get our food...and by then I couldn't eat cause H had started crying, and when I nursed, I discovered just how exhausted I was. I just ordered a doggie bag, and hopped back on the shuttle, and immediately crashed when we got back to our room. I slept for two hours before I woke up (Chance and D went tot he pool, and when they came back I still didn't hear them), and still felt a little groggy, but considerably better. Went and heated up my food and two bites into it the power went out.
I got tackled by a D and had to put my food to the side. When it didn't come back on, and after Chance peeked out the windows to check if anything else was out, he discovered that other parts of the Hotel were fine and powered, but we weren't. So, I sent him down to the front desk to ask what was going on. Half hour later he popped back in and said there was a power outage, and for some reason some ppl didn't get anything back when it came back on.
So, out hotel lost power, so did the Denny's accross the parking lot, and the Flying J's (gas station) next door. And with all of them losing power, we had suremely shitty service from all of them. So, we were on the third floor, and the stairwell closest to us was closed for reno's, the elevator was out, which caused us to have to cross the entire hotel to get to the only servicable set of stairs to reach the ground floor. Can we say fire hazard? We ended up buying candles from the lobby ($10 for a set of 5), and thankfully we had a crank flashlight (which I broke 30 minutes into the outage cause I dropped it on the tile bathroom floor) otherwise we'd have been S.O.L. for light.
Two hours later the power finally came back on in our room. I sent Chance over to Denny's for dinner seeing as I didn't trust our leftovers that were in the fridge. He came back with news that they weren't fully back on either, and therefore couldn't deep-fry anything, which basically left salads, and sandwhiches. I got an exceptional Turkey BLT that was quite yummy though.
So, I ate, and then crashed out again...and I don't even think it was past 9:30. D had crashed not long after having a couple of bites to eat, by about 8:30. I woke up the next morning at 5:30, and we all managed to be wide awake...I guess we were still operating on Ohio time.
So, we lounged in bed and watched tv, then I took a shower, and got dressed and we headed down to the lobby for their breakfast buffet.
I was real impressed by their buffet cause it was completely do-it-yourself, but very expansive. They had bagels, muffins, fresh fruit, and cereal machines where you just turned a handle (much like a .25 candy machine) and cereal was dispensed, a tortilla station, a toasting station, and two waffle irons with batter nearby. Nevermind the coffee, applesauce, tea, milk, water, and orange juise to drink.
I was stuffed.
We re-packed all the bags (I forgot where I put the car keys and tore everything apart) and got them back on the baggage cart they provided, and packed up the truck, and were on the road by 9am. It was fricken cold, and the kids conked out fairly soon after hopping on the road.

Home again!
Wow, it feels good to be back...
All roadtripping is done!
I never want to do that agian...LOL
It snowed from the time we left Spokane and is still snowing now. It was the dry stuff so it pouffed everytime someone passed us going the otherway, knocking visibility down to nothing.
How I'd love to be able to say..."Yeah, I don't travel during the winter".
Life shall ocntinue now though, we'll see how we deal with the new place and our vehicles.
Spending the night at mom's house as I am just too exhausted to drag everything home right now...
We all woke up and were wide awake and ready to face the day this morning at 5:30am. Had our "buffet" breakfast at 7:30 and we were checked out and on the road by 9 this morning.
We pulled into mom's house by 6pm.
No More 8 hour road trips!!!
Now that I'm back, I need a break.
So, anywho...it's nice to be on familiar territory :o)
Am uploading pictures to Flickr right now, last thing I do before I hit the hay, two older boys are already in bed, so hopefully I'm not gonna be too long, cause I'm beat too!

Sunny
SO...
Today we had Thanksgiving dinner (again). Ronnie (and Don) cooked a torrific Turkey, and the traditional (USA) sides to go with. Was pretty good.
Have D down for a nap right now, and had H down a couple times already.
Had Ronnie go and get some Children's Tylenol cause H is running a low grade fever. Hopefully his yucky feelings will pass.
We're going to see Happpy Feet tonight in Wooster (Ronnie pronounces that Wa-ster instead of drawing out the o's :oD ). Making sure I'm gonna have agreeable kids.
My tummy has been upset the last couple days, but I'm not exactly eating things that'll help it...hehehe.
Lastnight I had a sweet snack (and I'm ashamed to be typing this) of Oreos (doublestuffs), Oatmeal Raisin cookies, Twizzler Pull'n'Peel, Mint Chocolate sticks, mandarin oranges (snack variety, not fresh), and a Pepsi. Was good.
I had chocolate milk with breakfast this morning, so that's probly what did it.
Hunter ate nicely for Ronnie lastnight, as I pumped and let her feed him. I think they both quite enjoyed.
The weather's still beautiful. Hopesully the roads will bedecent when we go home.

Relax
I'll be so happy tp get home.
I don't mind visiting in Ohio or anything, but things are just so different here that I'll be happy to get back to where things make sense, and I'm not contantly reminded of just how shallow I can be.
The kids are enjoying themselves at least.I can not believe the weather here...it's been nothing but clear skies and sunshine since we arrived...well, it was raining when we first got here, but we didn't notice, honest.
Took a shower by myself for the first time since we lft home today, was nice. The extra lotioning of Hunter seems to be paying off, and his exema seems to be dimishing, but not by the long shot i was expecting. Guess it's back to the doctor's when we get home.
I haven't been taking as many pictures as I should, so I'm hoping to make up for that over the next few days. I've only taken 100since we've left...how shameful.
Will have a lot of Flickr work to do when we get home, thankfully we have the net at home now so I won't feel guilty about using anyone for their comp...*g*
This visit has gone quite well, and other than the initial vehicle issue has been quite drama-free, thankfully.
Slept like a sardine lastnight with both kids and husband in bed lastnight, thank goodness it's a queen. *g*
The boys haven't left the Xbox alone since we got here...shameful, but oh well.
I hope to see a movie b4 we leave...we shall see.

We're here!
Okie, so here I am in Ohio. Finally in a civilized, or at least technilogically advanced home.
My Father-in-laws' home was not what it used to be, definately didn't live up to it's former glory days, but it sufficed for shelter on our visit to the hometown. We visited as many as we could in the short time that we have, and one specific family had the pleasure of our company 3 days in a row! Mainly because they had a slew of kids that D got right and rowdy with.
It was rather surreal being there again, and interesting to see whom had moved on, and whom hadn't.
I feel sorry for my husband, who is finding out what it's like to know that you're home, but not to stay. Saying good-bye is always tough, no matter who's leaving, and I don't envy him it at all.
It's true, my husband has grown a whole lot since we were last here, and it's becoming more and more apparent that he's the man that I always wanted, and knew he could be. Nothing like hindsight to show you where you are.
So, I think Hunter's jet-lagged, but we've gotten plenty of sleep the past couple of days to make up for it, and D has been napping daily with us as well. They look so cute together, sleeping on the same bed, facing the same way, hands in the same spot, and mouths open just the same.
Their similarities are endless, and never cease to amaze me. So, this is what being a sibling is all about.
How I envy them.
Another thing I don't envy my husband is the new task that's going to have to fill that void that his hometown is going to leave behind once he's had this taste.
I don't envy lonliness in the least.
Anyhow, just thought I'd give a quick update to letcha all know I'm alive, and my accent has come back two-fold and I sound like an idiot.
The flight was smooth, as was the border crossing, and am looking foreward to coming home, and getting my life back on track, because it's no longer going to be counting down to Ohio, but Christmas.
Interesting how things develop.
Off to open Christmas gifts, yay us!

Good to Go
Well, we're all packed up and read to go. It only took me all day to do it.
This is the lightest I've ever packed for a week long trip. Interesting. The kids and i took one suitcase, we could've sqeezed Chance's stuff in with ours, but then where would our reason be for the other two suitcases we're bringing? Chance put his stuff in the other big suitcase along with the extra one that compacted to fit in on top of his stuff, and the miscellaneous items I stuffed to give to relatives.
The boys are having a bit of a rough go of it for sleep tonight, none of them are finding it easy to drift off. Let's not mention the new neighbour moving in next door who sees fit to keep his 52 ft. Semi-moving truck running all night while he unloads it, or the tromping they're doing back and forth.
I got the place tidied up for Harry, and hopefully he'll have a good time whilst housesitting for us.
Need to do up an itinerary and email it to mom, like she asked.
Guess I can do that tommorow while I'm making breakfast.
Sneak Attacks
Today Snuck up on me...
It occurred to me while I was cooking breakfast for us, that shit...I need to pack because we're leaving tommorow!
I'm in no way prepared, I must have been in denial about the whole thing, acting like it was happening to someone else, and not to me.
Strange how that happens, life seems so surreal.

2+1
Well, I got my lists together of what to pack, Hopefully I remembered everything.
Looks like someone is moving into the housenextdoor/behind us.
Everyone is getting excited now. Darius woke up this mornin and said only 2 more sleeps, and one more sleep, and we'll be at Ama's! We explained that we have two more sleeps before we leave, then one more sleep in a hotel, then we'll be going to Ama's.
We didn't do a whole lot today, basically bummed around the house. Harry showed up round 1, after Chance had gone and gotten his fingerprints. They took D to the park and library, and I took H to the Doctor.
He flirted with every woman there! Chip off the old block I must say. He had a conversation with a woman in the waiting room, then he was giggling in the exam room cause I was playing with him. When I stopped to give him a breather, the Doctor came in and said we had gained an audience with all the doctors and nurses in the hallway listening. Man did I ever giggle and blush at that one. Got a prescription for an anti-biotic for my Mastitis (FINALLY) and found out H has winter Exema. Just some extra lotioning, once in the morning, and once at night. He's also got cradle cap again. Arrgh.
Chance is talking about taking him for his first haircut while in Ohio, and doing it at the same place as D did his, but it's been so long I doubt they're still in business. I'm also not sure I want his soft locks gone, I love his baby hair, especially just after his bath.
Been catching mice left right and center, I wonder what sort of precautionary measures we can take to get rid of them for good. I realize they must be coming in near out water heater, so I'm sure it'll have something to do with sealing that up.
I keep thinking all these repairs and such that we've been a part of since moving to Canada are helping us for when we get our own house (IF we choose to get one someday).
Watched UHF tonight, forgot what a funny movie that was.
Seen some cd's in Zellers while I was getting my prescrip filled that I wouldn't mind. Alas, my car only plays tapes.
I gave up on the quest to clean off this comp, hopefully we can swing a pick up from Pokie's someplace.
Hunter is such a ham.
Harry will be housesitting for us while we're gone, and he, and mom will each have a key. Mom will need to do her laundry after all (seeing as we still haven't gotten them a replacement dryer).
Alas, time to put kids to bed...
Blah on Computers
Well, I thought I had it.
I remember now why we wanted a new comp.
This thing is riddled with viruses that won't let me fix them. I've d/l-ed bunches of stuff to help me, but nothing seems to be working. I can't view my online Scotia page (probly won't want to anyways, case the info is passed on now) or get the newest version of MSN Messenger to run. Which means I'm running off of an ancient version of messenger (thankfully I actually can run any version of it).
I'm disappointed that I haven't been able to do more tho. :o(
Been trying to fix the stupid thing all night, but it's very tiring when your comp is at a counter where you don't have a chair for, and yer stuck holding a baby cause they refuse to be put down to sleep on their own.
I'm tired, and am making lists of things to pack so I don't forget anything this time.
Hopefully this trip will go smoothly.

I'm a Genius
It's true ya know. ;oD
I got our mailbox key today from CHelan and checked it out, and discovered they had attempted to deliver my modem, which I went and picked up from the local post office. I brought it home and hooked everything up all on my own, and we now have internet.
Hi Speed DSL.
So far it's not so bad, am testing it right now with a d/l of the latest version of MSN Messenger., seeing as mine is way outdated.
It's going pretty slow, btu I'm not gonna complain cause I got a main staple in my life, the net.
Now all I need is a decent stool to sit on.

I Fixed it!
Well well well.
Chance broke our DVD player yesterday...a disc got jammed in it, and instead of trying to figure out what's goin on, he yarded on it So, lastnight after the kids had gona to bed, he took it apart, and fiddled, and managed to fix it. His face was precious, cause it lit up, and he had an ear to ear grin, and he began to strut. "I fixed and electronic item"!
Well, when I turned it on, and started watching Good Morning, Vietnam, all the colours were fine, except the people. The people are blue, and it don't matter what colour they are.
We came to mom's house lastnight for dinner, and played a game of yahtzee before D drove me so bonkers that I had to go home.
Got home and gots kids into bed, and sat down to watch a movie, and decided to go to bed instead. We hit the hay, and about a half hour later, just after we had both dozed off, we both woke up, and looked at each other and made the joint decision to sleep in the living room. It was just too darned windy out.
So, there we all were, sleeping on the living room floor on a pile of blankets. Consquently, I got next to no sleep lastnight, and am exhausted and grouchy today.
So, today we tidied, and cleaned, and did laundry. Yesterday Chance was nice and watched the kids for me while I washed alls and such. After we got home I scrubbed the tub, and bathroom while he wiped out the oven. I felt like a schmo cause he got the easier of the two (I sprayed the stove earlier in the morning, and it soaked all day and just wiped right off for him, no scrubbin or nuthin).
Tonight I'm staying at mom's cause I actually want to sleep some. Nothing but wind in the forecast.
It's pretty silly when you are afraid to be in your own home.
The contractor came by today and said he recommends we redo the entire roof cause it's cheap, but insurance will only cover the hole/damage from the tree. Hopefully Chelan will opt to redo the entire roof.
So, to date we have a dmaged roof, a mice infestation (of which we've killed 3), and a damned hornet/yellow jackets nest somewhere in our ceiling. We keep finding them in the house, and can't tell where they are ocming from. When the ocntractor cut open the ceiling today, a few came out of the insulation.
Yay us.

Long Weekend
Well, was a loooooooong weekend. Chance got Friday off, had monday off for a stat, and today off as usual.
Spent Saturday night at mom's house...cause Chance got stitches in the hand after breaking a glass whilst doing the dishes at home. Actually, I think we may have spent Friday night there. I can't remember, the days just sort of blend into one another.
Mom came over and did laundry on Saturday while I finished the vacuuming (there's so many cob webs and such around that it was easier to vacuum then wash them away) which was nice cause it was a big help.
I was doing some cleaning today, got my hallway and kitchen walls washed, though not completely finished. Gonne head to the bathroom and finish the dining room next. Then it's on to our bathroom and bedroom, and then D's room. I hate cleaning.
Not much longer now and we'll be on our way to Ohio.
Am hoping to get Harry in there to house-sit for us.
Should be getting our modem on Thursday or Friday, so we'll have internet before we leave...probly hafta leave instructions not to do anything with it.
Ate some yummy spaghetti tonight, we're at mom's for some gold ole' social fun.
Had a nice talk with my husband the other night, hope some of it sinks in.
My son talks too much.
The last few nights I can honestly say Chance is kinda getting the hint about "family" time and not just "melting" his mind on the tv.
We played dress-up and had a nice sing-along together lastnight. They're getting pretty creative, I must say.
Darius played outside yesterday, and came in sopping wet because he found a puddle to get into in which he soaked his winter coat, and boots, and was soaked to the bone.
We've been giving him naps each day, slowly phasing them back in, and it seems to be working with his temper, when he gets real tired he's still quite viscious and mean, but we try not to let that happen too often.
Chance caught a couple of spiders outside under the logs that have been sitting there, and we all swear that they are part tarantula.
I need cake.
Gotta start looking for a job.

Update
Well, I've uploaded a few pix to Flickr, mostly from D's class. I tried to include only ones that had D in them with classmates, cause I don't want to infringe on any childs' rights.
We got our new phone number, and I will be emailing it to everyone.
Long Week
Well then.
So, the weekend is here, and only 8 days left until our Ohio trip. Time flies...
Darius has caught on to the fact that we need to take an airplane to Ohio. All on his own.
Well, tuesday was our 5 year anniversary, and it was actually quite nice. We went out for dinner, and went to see Saw 3. We were back by 9:30, but we really enjoyed ourselves.
We spent monday, and tuesday nights at moms house, while stuff was being estimated and such at our house. Wednesday we were all apprehensive, but we did stay at our house. I was trying to get it organized because I knew the adjuster, and the Restoration ppl would be coming inside to inspect any damage. I think it's funny that the "contractors" that the adjuster hired was Ok Restore (old employers).
Wednesday was D's "special day" at pre-school. I took him to school, and got osme pictures of the kids playing, though some are blurry because my batteries wanted to die at that moment. I will be posting them on Flickr later.
It's amazing when you don't blog for a week just how much you need to catch up on. Sheesh.
I've been trying to clean, but it's just so difficult with two kids. I get little bits done here and there, but the baby just isn't patient enough for it to be noticable.
Lastnight we went to a family christmas show at Kelowna Community Theatre. One of Kimmie's co-workers had bought himself tickets, but couldn't go, so he gave them to Kimmie. We went, and was kinda disappointing because they were missing two performers, and took the stage and hour and a half late because of travelling conditions on the Coq. But, they were good otherwise, I've never seen a Magician perform before, and was very entertained.
Afterwards I went out for a drink with Chance's co-worker Sonja. Spent 3 hours there, and quite enjoyed myself. I was very surprised at how busy the Pub was. We got stuck sitting in the smoking section cause that was all that was avaialable, and at that we were at a bar, not a table.
Woke up with the kids this morning, and had enough time to give Hunter and myself a bath, whilst D watched Monster House (he rented that and Over the Hedge on thursday night cause he went out with his co-workers) and ate watermelon.
I bought some fresh produce, and made up two platters, one with veggies, and the other with watermelon so D can snack at will, cause he is just not eating.
caught a mouse yesterday. It must've just got snapped when we got home from the show lastnight, cause we got in, took off our coats, and then we heard squealing, and scratching, so it must've panicked and tried to run away when it was caught. Poor thing suffered. Gotta go buy a bunch more traps though. *sigh*
I'm tired, it feels like I may never stop being tired.
Our house is basicaly set up, and just needs to get rid of some junk stickin round the house.
So, just trying to figure out what we're gonna get up to today.
I'm hungry, and tired...and so is Hunter.
He rolled over for Daddy this morning, and I've been trying to catch him doing it on video ever since, cause I haven't seen him do it yet.
Kids, always got for daddy first. What a pisser.

Oh My God!
Holy Doodle!
Shit. I don't think I've ever been so scared in my life!
We're sitting in the living room...Mom, D, H, and myself, and Chance was in D's room resting on his bed. We were watching the willow tree in our yard cause the branches were hanging completely horizontal cause it was so windy. Outta nowhere's we hear a huge crash (actually a series of Four or so) and the house is shaking. mom jumps up and whilst holding Hunter jumps into the corner, D hops into my lap, and I scoot as far away from the side windows as I can, and it's still thumping (I'm screaming). The thumping stops, Chance comes out of the room and asks what happened, and I say The fucking tree fell on the house! There was a rather large segment of a tree on our house that I could see through the window. We proceed to scoop up kids, get them dressed and out of the house. I grabbed a change of clothes (am still in grunge pj's) for me and Hunter, and went outside. Chance was out there looking at the treetop that had fallen. Says he'll meet us at moms, who has loaded up D and Hunter for me. I stop to look when I got to my car, and realized that the tree broke in two places. One hit just above where Chance was resting (D's bed), and the treetop itself hit the middle of the roof, bounced, and landed resting on the side of the house and the ground. There's branches of debris all over the place, and I couldn't get out of there fast enough.
I was still shaking when I got to moms, and it was real hard not to cry. I know some of my glass stuff fell, but I'm not sure what fell or even if it broke, we left that fast.
I'm all tense now.
So, when we got here, mom called our landlord (she's a co-worker of mom's, same department and everything) to let her know what happened, and Chance went back to grab the camera and take some pictures. She arranged a few things, then headed over to check the damage. Apparently those trees aren't on her/our property, but a neighbours, that she's been asking to have them cut down for a while now. They better be coming down within the next week or so help me, I'm gonna raise hell like I never have before.
So, we'll be eating at mom's house tonight, and depending on weather, and damage, could possibly stay here tonight as well.
Hope it scared the shit out of that goddamned mouse.
Chance has become the great mouse hunter again, by the way.
He's been staying up each night trying to catch the one mouse romping our house.
Apparently he's a brave bastard, coming on the ocunters and such, and he also has a thing for peanut butter.
Fucking animals.
Sunday, November 05, 2006
So, I guess the new place is ok. I'm getting used to the noises of the neighbourhood and the house. It sure has been windy the past few days.
Each night I take a step out for a while and listen to the noises, cause I keep spooking myself into thinking someone's outside, and once I learn what's making the noises, I'm ok.
Just sorting through the stuff in mom's house now, trying to get all the little stuff. Got some extra plastic containers for my storage at home because I don't want anything out for the mouse to get into. Apparently it has a thing for Peanut Butter.
Trying to get my laundry done today, I'd like for the silly dryer to be over at our place so I can do it, but it's more entertaining doing it here cause there's TV. I guess everything has it's pros and cons.
Went out to the casino lastnight, and won 140 bux. Yay me.
Gosh, I'm feeling a touch out-pf-date without Cable at home, or a phone for that matter. I should start turning the radio on. Hmm. For some reason our computer stopped playing audio cd's. Dunno why, but you can hear all the other noises the comp makes.
Been slowly going through everything and sorting, and tossing. Boy, it's a tough, time-consuming job. Combine that with taking care of the kids, and I'm amazed I can even get the kids fed in a decent fashion.
Darius' behaviour has been getting better, little by little. He's beginning to understand the rules of the house, and though he may not like them, he does listen without taking 20 times to tell him.
I haven't even taken any pictures of the place. What a shame. I'm hoping to play in the yard soon with the kids, on a day where it's not so windy.
Chance introduced himself to the neighbours today. Oh boy. They both have dogs, and one of them is a rotweiler named Pepsi.
I'm tired.

I Hate Mice
Well, we're pretty much settled in.
Had to take out a window yesterday to get our couch in the living room cause our front doorway has funny dimesions.
I noticed as I was tidying the kitchen yesterday that my loaf of bread had some nibbles in it, and I thought D had pulled it out and put it back, until I realized that the nibbles were right through the plastic.
Fuck.
So, it's a good thing I had a complete Tupperware storage set in my storage unit that had been brought to the house, cause I need it. Hopefully I can get some kind of mouse poison and get them all. Watching a movie lastnight I could hear them digging around in my cupboards. Yuck.
Watched an old home video from Ohio, when I was pregnant, and just after I had Darius. Darius enjoyed watching himself as a baby. But he conked out on me on the couch at 8:30. Was a nice quiet evening...Chance had to work from 7:00-11:30, D fell asleep at 8:30, and Hunter knocked out around 9:30. So, two whole hours of quiet in which I watched The Usual Suspects and Gia.
Then I went to bed.
Gotta do some shopping today...thrift of course, to pick up some dishrags, and a few other minor things that I'm missing in the house.
Here's to cheap filling.

Moving Sucks
Wow.
I forgot just how hard moving was. Stupid.
A week straight with only about 5 hours of sleep averaging. Sheepers.
I guess I've got the easy end of it, minding the kids, unpacking boxes, and cleaning...yeah, right.
Chance has been bringing in load after load of crap from storage that we just don't need, but I will have to go through none-the-less.
Just like Christmas though. I found my dishes were wrapped in pajamas I forgot I even had! Was kinda neat. Just waiting on my dryer now, cause everything that was in storage needs to be washed. And even though I hand washed all my dishes today, I'd like to run them through the dishwasher, just hafta get some soap.
At the grocery store today (yes, I forgot to buy the dishwasher soap) I only spent 45 bux on groceries (technically 75 cause i had that wonderful $25 g/c) which really surprised me. I forgot how cheap we were when it was just us...LOL My fridge still looks empty for lack of fresh items and condiments, but I'm not in a hurry to fill it up. I've got enough to last us until our trip.
Our tickets haven't arrived yet.
The place was filthy, and I've got my work cut out for me with the cleaning. They didn't do one stinking thing, I certainly wouldn'tve been showing that place to anyone with it looking like that. The cupboard are filthy, with droppings and dead bugs and cob webs, and spiders. The walls still have crayon markings on them, along with all of the handprints. The windows haven't been cleaned in ages. At least at moms place I did the windows about every 5 months. Yuck.
It seems kinda ghetto, but it's ours now, and I'm going to make the best on it for now.
Darius enjoys it, but he's terrified to be anywhere's in there by himself, unless he can clearly hear me. Understandable, I get the jitters anyplace by myself at night, so I putr a radio in his room, and read him a couple of books before bedtime lastnight.
I'm not putting cable in, we've got enough movies to tide me over for a while. I need to be able to focus on getting us all onto some scheduals, and getting the discipline back in our court. It's so hard not to just tell him that he makes me feel so angry I wish I could just walk out and not look back. Thank goodness that feeling is only fleeting.
Now to focus foreward, and just get my stuff in order for our trip down south. I was truly hoping to visit Eric, but that's basically just wishful thinking. I feel kinda bad cause I don't have anyone there besides Grandpa Klusty, Shannon & Brooke, and Ronnie that I wanna see there. Not that they aren't reason enough to visit, but what are we gonna do when Chance goes to visit his friends? I also feel kinda bad cause I look exactly the same as when i left. I wish I could've gone last year before I started gaining from pregnancy. Oh well, can't win em all, I mean, I have had four months to shed the exccess poundage.
Thought I'd take a nice quiet visit to Nana's so Hunter could visit his Kimmie.
I hate getting used to new house sounds.
It started snowing this morning...and hasn't stopped. It's wet, heavy sticky stuff. Time to break out the snow gear...it kind of surprised me, but what can i expect for November 2nd? My car still runs in it, and so far the tires haven't given me any toruble, but my windows won't roll down. Oh ell, I guess that just means no drive through for me.
Got some last minute scrounging to do at moms house cause I forgot all the little things here, funny how that happens when looking at the big picture.
I'm tired, and am oging to need to keep a steady stream of some sort of caffine in the house until I can wean myself off of it. *sighs*
Hopefully we can hook up a phone and internet in the near future, cause right now we're workin on no phone of any kind. haven't bothered to get minutes for our cells in a while. guess we should for emergency purposes.
Million and one things to do, but if I take them one at a time, I'll be allright. Chance still needs to learn that. Poor thing.

Yay!
Wow, this whole last week seemed to have just breezed right on by without me hardly even noticing it. It's been rather tough coming to terms with being on our own again, but I guess I'm warming up to the idea. Finally went and took a look at the inside today to see what I'm dealing with. It's got a month's worth of dust built up inside on the surfaces, so I'm gonna hafta scrub those down before setting anything on them. The windows need to be washes, floors washed and vacuumed, the light fixtures need a good rub out, and I think it'll be ok to start moving things in. Those are just better to do when it' empty. I wouldn't mind washing the walls either, but what's the point when i don't have a good deoderizer that I can add to my water?
Things have been going so quickly cause I've had a lot to do.
Made D's costume, packed, made the applesauce for the "Floating Eyeballs" (of which I finished stuffing the grapes this morning just before pre-school), took the kids out, made the masks for the classmates (15 total). Doesn't seem like a lot, but when you consider the effort, no wonder I'm beat!
Tommorow is Halloween! Yay!
I'm not completely happy with the decorations outside, but I will go out and make final adjustments tommorow morning with D in tow.
I LOVE Halloween. D really enjoys it as well. :o)
Back to making my mummy costume, just needed a break, but since sitting at the comp requires the same muscles, it's kinda pointless.

I Needed The Cheer
Today was fun-filled.
After realizing the date, was in a mad rush to get the kids ready to go out.
Went to two different places. The first was the Mt. Boo Arena where they had another family fun day for only 1.00 per person! What a deal! We made crafts, danced, and went into their haunted house and got a treat bag. Was fun.
Then we headed out to Glenmore where we visited the World of Worms! Was kinda icky when we went on the worm tour...to squiggly for me. But they had a fantastic set up with a small corm maze, a graveyard, haunted house, pumpkin decorating centre, storytelling area, small animal viewing (LLama & chickens), and hot chocolate/coffee. Was worth the ten bucks for D and I.
I made D a Super Mario costume yesterday...it's cute. I dressed H in the tigger kids costume since I couldn't find the froggy one of D's. I'm disappointed I couldn't find it, but he was still real cute.
Uploaded some new pix to FLickr of the last week. Been kinda bored lately...the impending doom of moving has set in.
So has depression.
*sighs*
Got a lot to do today...got D's Mario costume (main part) made. now all I hafta do is make some shoe covers, and the eyebrows and moustache and I'm done.
D told me that he wants me to be a Mummy for Halloween, so I gotta make my costume as well.
Nevermind the packing I've got to do.
I don't want to get a job.

Sheesh
I hate it when i forget what I was gonna blog about now. :oP
Yesterday H got up on his hands and knees. I was changing his diaper in Dairy Queen in Rutland (was gonna go to Value Village) and he was super poopie, and I set him on his tummy to get him out of his clothes, and he pushed himself up on all fours for a few seconds. I could've sworn he was tryin to scramble away from me.
Today, he figure out how to turn himself around in the excer-saucer.
He's too smart, I swear it.
Ho Hum
Chance's truck is dead again. So, the money for that new battery is down the drain.
this week really snuck by quickly, and I'm left rushing to make the Super Mario costume for D.
Not to mention the masks that I wanted to make. I do commit myself too much to some of this stuff, I know, but I actually do really enjoy it. I enjoy the knowledge that I'm the only parent who puts forth any amount of effort (besides chopping food) for the kids to really make them enjoy the holiday.
Got my apples lastnight when I was out with mom.
D's room was such a sty that I cleaned it lastnight. I made his bed too cause when he spilled water on it, I took everything off to hang to dry, but didn't put sheets on it.
So, his room now has a stack of boxes, an empty shelf, and some toy piled up neatly by the door.
Today I have to try and get D's costume made, so I'm not rushing through the weekend.
Man I need to clean in here, but I just don't have the time...it's one or the other.
Am kind of saddened that I missed the last wednesday of the month, but oh well, there's always another month.
So, am just unwinding myself before I get myself pshyched out to make the costume.
Here's hoping I can pop it off today.

Thoughts
I'm thinkin i may just start trying to phase in a nap every other day. Hopefully that'll help with the outbursts from Darius.
Got my apples for the "Floating Eyeballs".
Just gotta finish my sewing and such.
Chance has been so anxious these past few days, and I started telling him to pack stuff.
He ended up packing almost all of D's toys, and all of his books. Everytime D went to reach for a book today I felt a twinge of guilt. Never mind the toys he wanted to play with. I guess, in a way, it'll show him to be thankful for what he's got.
Thankfully, we don't "need" our passports.
Having a passport to cross the border isn't mandatory...yet. But in 2007 it will be mandatory. So we'll hafta order ours anyways.
It's saving us a trip to Vancouver, but it will need to be done eventually.
Still got a ton of stuff o do here though...we shall see yet

To The Top
Sometimes it amazes how self absorbed some people can be, including myself.
I'd give anything for a night of 12 hours of straight sleep. I totally don't even remember what that's like.
It's funny that the woman of relationships don't get the recognition they deserve. Mother's Day isn't enough to tell a woman that they appreciate all that they do. How does one stay so remarkable, and do it without so much as a thought of thanks?
I'm certainly not enough to keep our ship afloat.

Jesus is out to get me
It TOTALLY figures.
Today has been trying, to say the least.
went and got my forms for the passports notarized, and D was actually hitting me in the guys office.
Got home, made him take a rest, and got a fat lip.
Got up and decided to head to the passport office in Rutland, and left Chance here to take a nap.
D actually required a time out while there for hitting me and head-butting me.
An hour later I walk out with the knowledge that I can't file fore my passport there cause they can't proccess the Notarized form that I've brought. I've been instructed to go directly to Vancouver, to get there as early as possible cause it's a minimum 3 hour wait no matter how early you are.
Lucky me.
So now I need to figure out when I can go, cause I'll get it in 10 business days if I go directly there, but 3 hours with both kids & husband? I don't think so. It would be so nice if they had a fucking number that I can call for more information...but that's just asking for too fucking much.
I needed diapers, and went to Wal Mart where I had to literally drag (feet straight out and everything) D through the store yelling at me and head butting me cause I wouldn't let him look at the new DVD Monster House.
I'm home now, and C had to take mom's car to work cause I'm just not up to it.
Just fucking shoot me, at least it would distract me, and save me the trouble of beating my head against a wall.
I hate Tuesdays
It's never a good thing when a four year old says oops.
Uphill battles seem to surround when things are not completely in order. Meaning in this instance, because no one has the proper amount of sleep, everything needs to go wrong.
This whole week better not be like this, cause it'll just put a huge damper on Halloween.
I need a Pepsi.
Mom's sick...am hoping it had nothing to do with the chicken i cooked lastnight, cause i personally thought it was a little pink, but ya never know with the darker leg portions that I used. Poor thing says she was up all night, which means she'll probly sleep all day. Wonder what Ican get out to do with the kids today, cause she'll need some peace and quiet to help recoup.
I should take out a soup bode, or mebbe some turkey leftovers to make a nice big pot o soup.
Chance's battery diead in his truck...oh boy.
Yesterday D spilled an entire bottle of water on his bed, and it wasn't on the sheet protector I might add. Never mind the fact that I had extra blankets underneath the sheet for added comfort.
I'm hoping the move will help D with his eating habits...cause I'm planning on making some sandwhiches, and cutting up fruits and veggies, and leaving them in the fridge at the new place. I'm sooooooo fed up with fighting him to eat his meals, so I just give up, and I'll take the best alternative that I can muster.
I need a Pepsi...mebbe we can go to the store.
Did I mention Chance is taking someone's shift today cause they have a meeting, which means he doesn't get any more days off until Sunday again?
Gramma wants me to go and visit to help her with her computer. Ralph wants to go hunting.
I still need to start packing, make the 6 remaining masks for D's class, buy the makings for floating eye's, carve my pumpkins (which can be done this weekend), go get my G/C from the health unit, make D's costume of Super Mario.

Jump Up!
Man...Hunter needs a Jolly Jumper.
They sell a free-standing Jolly Jumper that I have my eyes on. Hopefully we can get one in the near future, cause everyone's arms are hurting cause he loves going Up, and Down!
He seems to have himself in a nice sleeping pattern of three days of hardly any sleep, and two days of nothing but.
Almost got all of my outdoor decorations up, but I still think I need a trip to the Dollar Store :oD

Humdrums
Well, it seems that my Mastitis is gone now, cause I can at least wear a bra without any agony.
Been a kind of Blah weekend, where we haven't done much. At least it feels that way. I guess that's a nice thing cause it'll pick up when we start moving and planning to move. This week will probably be filled with calls to providers to find out what the hook up fees are. *sighs* I don't like the thought of moving, but I guess as long as I take it one day at a time, it'll be ok.
Put up the inside windows decorations yesterday, and today D and I will be doing outdoor stuff. Oh boy.
Chance is going 4x4-ing today, as usual. The only difference is today I have D and H. 8sighs8 I wish I had a weekly thing or twoin which i could escape during the day away from both kids, but I just don't have any social engagements.
I'm sure when I start working I'll be thinking differently.
Anyhow...back to Bejeweled.

Yikes
This is truly sad...
I've got more than an hour to myself of quiet, both boys are asleep, mom and Kim went to Bingo, and Chance is at work.
What am I doing, you ask?
I'm playing Bejeweled 2, and doing laundry...as if there weren't anything better to do.
Sheepers, I wonder about myself sometimes.
So...
Went to the doc yesterdqay, who told me I have Mastitis, but can't give me any anti-biotics until it's fully infected my boobs.
Great...what are doctors for?!
Get home and make Chance look it up on the comp for me (he's so much better at research than I am) and he told me that my Mastitis was probly what made me so ill on Sunday, it's been known to cause flu-like symptoms. Seeing as I don't care to feel like that ever again (I was nearly in tears I felt so horrible & I was so weak I couldn't life Hunter) I'm gonna do whatever I can to get rid of it.
*sighs*
We have a very busy day today...I had better get to it.

Birthday Musings
For being 25, I sure don't feel it.
I'm a little disappointed that I'm only celebrating with family, and literally have no one else to spend it with, but I guess I'm glad I have people who care about me at all. It could be worse.
Went and got my passport pix done today, and whilst at the mall, decided to hit Chapters and got two new Xanth Piers Anthony books. We also hit the Motherhood Maternity store for a new nursing bra (full support) and a new shirt. I'm getting tired of finding lettuce and other food particles in my bra when I take it off in the eve.
I was so tired today, it really felt like the day blurred by.
D made me and Kim a cake, and he made purple frosting, and put sprinkles on it. :oD It was yummy.
It feels like my head hasn't stopped hurting/pounding for the last week. And my heart keeps doing this stupid flutter thingy that keeps taking my breath away.
Hunter is just too precious.

Pix
Posted a ton of new pix on http://flickr.com. Thanks to Pokie for buysing me a new Flickr Pro account, I can now upload all the pix I wnat...Yay!
Nov. 1st
This last week has gone by rather quickly.
Hunter can:
-bring a toy to his mouth
-reach for a toy within his grasp
-squeal with delight
-turn to a voice he recognizes
-flap and kick his arms and legs when he's excited
-cry in different tones to let us know what he wants or needs
-splash playfully when he's in his tub
We've accepted a new place, and will be moving out of here on Nov. 1st.
It's a 2 bdrm, 1 1/2 bath mobiel home of a co-worker of mom's. The yard is big, level, clean, and fenced. I haven't been inside yet, but am choosing to trust Chance's judgement. Lots of organizing is in order. Since it's a mobile home, it won't fit out dining room set, so we'll have to keep the storage unit, hopefully we can downgrade to a smaller size and lessen the rent payments there.
I hope all goes smoothly.
Have been trying to get my g/c from the Health Unit since b4 Thanksgiving, but have yet to secure it. *sigh* Maybe I'll grab it today. I'd like to spend it on pumpkins, but that'd just be irresponsible seeing as we'll be moving, and will need groceries in our new home.
Kimmie says we cal all go, but Hunter has to stay. *g*
Hunter sure does love his Kimmie, you never hear him talk to much as when Kim's around.
Took D &H outside yesterday after it stopped raining, D splashed in the mud in the driveway, then moved on to the big puddles at the end of the street. He had water in his boots by the time we got home. :o) I dropped a booty from H and didn't realize it, and our neighbour (whose dogs name is Tater) was kind enough to put 2&2 together, and brought it back to me. Was a surprise to hear the doorbell, and find Tater on our doorstep. Had to chuckle at that.
S'gonna be a big undertaking, being with the kids alone. Hopefully we can work out a gameplan on dicipline and such. Consistency will help us tremendously.
I do plan on getting a job, just haven't thought of where...but i suppose i can just apply at local stores. S'good enough for me, as long as I don't have to work two jobs again. Well, I guess I could handle for a short term, but a long term is out of the question. The last time I worked long term two jobs I truly hated living.
No plans for tommorow, just a night in with the boys, and am hoping D will make me a cake, with all his special decorations.
Have decided what I'm making for a treat for D's class, Floating Eyeballs. :o) Guesome name, I know. Homemade applesauce, red/green grapes with chocolate chips pushed into the ends. :o)
I'm also making masks. :o) Anything to kill time.
Thinking is never a good thing.

Musings
Well, the weekend is over.
Steven left this morning, Chance drove Gramma & Ralph home lastnight with D, Pokie didn't come, and neither did Wayne or Art, but Mary made an appearance.
It was an ok weekend I suppose, not too overly busy, not overly loud either.
We had a pretty decent time, I must say, and the food was wonderful, as usual.
Hunter entertained the masses, and Darius was as rambuncious as ever.
It was a nice family gathering, as to be expected.
I didn't take any pictures though, strangely enough, not a one.
Don was nice and installed the printer driver and a couple anti-virus thingies for us by remote assistance.
Just gotta get printer cartridges now.
Had my hands full trying to get the place back into order this morning before the boys got home.
Managed to get some stuff done, but not as much as I'dve liked.
I did nothing but laundry this weekend, thankfully, Gramma did a lot folding to help me get everything cleaned up.
back to regular life...it doesn't feel like my birthday is just a week away.

Gellatly Nut Farm
For the first Field Trip of the year for the pre-schoolers, they went to the Gellatly Nut Farm. We joined the class at 9:30, and left them at 10:30. It was an enjoyable time, in which D played with his classmates, and tried to burn off the energy that's been pent up. Daddy wasn't able to join us right away cause the washer was being fixed, but he did eventually join us, and D and his friend Jayden (last b-day party he went to) had some fun together...
They had a kissing contest (you can't kiss me, haha!) and swung happily from daddy's arms (as seen here) and collected and exchanged nuts with each other.
Afterwards we went to the Peach Pit for breakfast.
In the middle of the meal, D was eating, and trying to play with his "collection" (apparently that concept, which has been around for a while now, is from pre-school)...Chance proceeds to chastise him loud enough for the table next to us to hear him...
"Darius, quit playing with yer nuts!"
I've never laughed so hard in my life! He turned all sorts of shades, but couldn't figure out why I was laughing so hard until I repeated what he had said (he thought he said something else). Thankfully, the ppl at the table next to us were Harry and his g/f.
Anyhow, it was en enjoyable morning, and later, D and Chance went to Kamloops to pick up Gramma and Ralph.

Morning Intervention
I interrupted today's morning conversation between Grandpa Kimmie (which is what we've taken to calling him) and Hunter. Hunter always has lots of stories to tell him, and he appears to be one of his favorite people cause he'll smile as soon as he catches a glimpse of him.
In this picture you can see Hunter's feet touch one end, and his head hasta kinda crink to fit it in as well. LOL I usually try and keep his legs over the end, but he has a tendancy to kick himself up.

LLL
Well, I guess this nursing strike really isn't that HUGE of a hassel, it certainly would be tougher if I was doing this on my own that's for sure. But, honestly, who needs to feed their child with a dropper??
The LLL leader recommended against using the bottle (of course) to avoid nipple confusion, or bottle preference. *sighs*

Weekend News
Hunter went on a nursing strike this weekend. Refused (well, until he was absolutely starving and I was full) to eat for me, and even when he did it was broken and with loads of complaints.
I've been pumping to make sure I don't loose my milk.
He also sdid this weird head-turning thing that kinda freaked me out. Too many doctor shows and stuff.
Saturday we went thrift shopping and we took my car...was like going to Edmonton all over again, that was how much stuff we crammed in it. LOL Took me, like, 10 minutes just to wiggle it all out!
Am making costumes to see if they will sell at various places. We shall see I spose. At least it's keeping me occupied.
D is as rowdy as ever.
He gave me a scare this morning, and consequently he didn't go to school. He got out of the shower and asked me to scratch him (he had done this the night before, he said his back was all itchy but I didn't see anything then) because his tummy was itchy, and Chance said he had some spots. So, i woke up mom to have her come take a look...and she said he had them already last year. I'll be damned if I can remember that! So, anyways, instead of school he went to the doctors with Chance. And he came back with a diagnosis of bending over an object and it leaving a mark on his chest. Oh well, better safe than sorry.
Our washing machine is broken...was doing a load of laundry on Sunday and it started screeching and whining (sounds like me on a bender!) so they shut it off. I figure it must've been a belt or something, so now we gotta get that repaired at some point in time.
I need to get an oil change to my car...Edmonton and back and then some...hmm.
I gotta make a list of things for Will and Kristy...LOL I know that at some point in time they'll be back in Edmonton, and I'd like for them to visit a Dollarama for me to pick up a few things to ship my way. :o)
I forgot to add on the wishlist for Hunter a portable Jolly Jumper. Basically it's a Jolly Jumper with a stand. There are a few companies that make them, I've even seen one with a play tray attatched to it. :o)

Hunter Can...
Take a toy, and put it to his mouth.
Switch the toy from hand to hand to examine it.
Put something in front of his face to look at it.
Giggle, though for me this is rare...everyone can make his giggle but me.
lean up to show that he wants to be picked up.
Arch his back to help you pick him up better.
Extend his arm to bat a toy in front of him.
Do a specific "I want my mommy" cry...
Follow me accross the room, and smile when he can clearly see my face (about 6 ft).
Smile for the simple joy that someone is directly communicating with him.
Steal your heart with a single gummy grin.

Tired
I love my kids
I watched tonights episode of Criminal Minds.
I honestly don't know how I could've sat and watched the whole thing, cause it really bothered me.
I was crying by the end of it.

So, we're so close to getting Chance's permanent residency. Just a few more items need to be sent and we're homefree...finally. But, as things would happen...it could screw with his work permit, which could possibly put me in the range of having to work. Just as I understand it anyways. We'll see though.
At least we know where we stand. That's always a plus.
I'm hungry.

Cute
I swear, H is just too cute now.
he's got tons of new faces comin out now, and he can say Ba!
I just discovered that this morning. ;o)
Made a bunch of face masks to give D's pre-school classmates for their Halloween bags. This year I plan on giving away the trick-or-treat bags that I made a coupla years ago that haven't sold off. Stuff them with a few treats (maybe I can concoct some sort of miracle treat that's healthy AND yummy) and a couple of little gifts that I make. :o)
Anything to keep me occupied and busy, cause the monotinay of being at home doing nothing everyday is depressing just thinking about it.
Get on with life, those people weren't everything, and they certainly don't define you.

Dreary Days
So, we're closing out the week again already, sheepers. How fast time is flying...already to the end of September almost. One more wednesday left (yes, last wednesday of the month shopping here I come) and then we're into October...jeez, I guess we had better start our birthday party planning now if we expect anyone to show...not that they would cause, you know, parties at our house that are planned just don't work out, no matter how much advance you give everyone.
Chance's friend gave us a printer, and even though I downloaded the driver online (yes I knew as much) I can't seem to get it to work. Apparently we have another virus on our comp cause I can't seem to get our computer to get any programs to download. I tried d/l-ing AVG but it gets stuck at 24%, and when I go to install my printer driver it freezes the whole comp, and I can't do anything, but when i reboot it won't let me finish installing, and won't print.
*sighs*
I'm sick of our computer now.
I made some pretty yummy spaghetti the other night, and I decided to toss in some extra hot garlic that mum and kimmie had bought, and also used some hot peppers that kimmie had grown this summer, and scraped the seeds out with my nails. Bad idea...they didn't burn, but after trying to eat some sunflower seeds I found that the spicy taste stuck around. After I tried to get the spitz out from under my nails, man did they start burnin. I tried a lot of things to get the spicy flavour out (I was afraid the oils would rub off on Hunter in the midst of a diaper change) but nothing seemed to work. Oh well, guess I just need to work it off, slowlu but surely.
I kind of re-arranged the house a bit, pulled out the ole playpen cause I was tired of doing diaper changes on the couch and being afraid of staining them. Hunter barely fits in the changer, too long.
Hunter is so close to giggling... :o)
It's been nothing but rainy here this last week. Dreary, and boring. Hope the sun comes out soon, I love the sun in the fall.
