Hotel Adventures

Well, when we finally pulled into Spokane, it was snowy and frickin windy cold.
We managed to struggle our way to the baggage claim, and waited impatiently with both kids while our baggage came out one by one. Loaded up the cart, and momentarily contemplated getting two carts, and decided against it. We carted ourselves over to the phone area, and dialed 2 for our hotel, and requested a shuttle. Ten minutes later they pulled up with a big ass Van. I had mentioned on the phone that they needed to make sure it was big as we had lots of baggage.
We pulled up to the hotel (had a Cali driver) and en route were discussing places to eat and our driver mentioned that they could shuttle us to one of two restauraunts if we asked them to. So, we got unpacked, and refreshed, and hopped back in the van the a nice restaraunt that only had one waiter to serve the entire place...apparently they were short staffed. Needless to say it took over an hour to get our food...and by then I couldn't eat cause H had started crying, and when I nursed, I discovered just how exhausted I was. I just ordered a doggie bag, and hopped back on the shuttle, and immediately crashed when we got back to our room. I slept for two hours before I woke up (Chance and D went tot he pool, and when they came back I still didn't hear them), and still felt a little groggy, but considerably better. Went and heated up my food and two bites into it the power went out.
I got tackled by a D and had to put my food to the side. When it didn't come back on, and after Chance peeked out the windows to check if anything else was out, he discovered that other parts of the Hotel were fine and powered, but we weren't. So, I sent him down to the front desk to ask what was going on. Half hour later he popped back in and said there was a power outage, and for some reason some ppl didn't get anything back when it came back on.
So, out hotel lost power, so did the Denny's accross the parking lot, and the Flying J's (gas station) next door. And with all of them losing power, we had suremely shitty service from all of them. So, we were on the third floor, and the stairwell closest to us was closed for reno's, the elevator was out, which caused us to have to cross the entire hotel to get to the only servicable set of stairs to reach the ground floor. Can we say fire hazard? We ended up buying candles from the lobby ($10 for a set of 5), and thankfully we had a crank flashlight (which I broke 30 minutes into the outage cause I dropped it on the tile bathroom floor) otherwise we'd have been S.O.L. for light.
Two hours later the power finally came back on in our room. I sent Chance over to Denny's for dinner seeing as I didn't trust our leftovers that were in the fridge. He came back with news that they weren't fully back on either, and therefore couldn't deep-fry anything, which basically left salads, and sandwhiches. I got an exceptional Turkey BLT that was quite yummy though.
So, I ate, and then crashed out again...and I don't even think it was past 9:30. D had crashed not long after having a couple of bites to eat, by about 8:30. I woke up the next morning at 5:30, and we all managed to be wide awake...I guess we were still operating on Ohio time.
So, we lounged in bed and watched tv, then I took a shower, and got dressed and we headed down to the lobby for their breakfast buffet.
I was real impressed by their buffet cause it was completely do-it-yourself, but very expansive. They had bagels, muffins, fresh fruit, and cereal machines where you just turned a handle (much like a .25 candy machine) and cereal was dispensed, a tortilla station, a toasting station, and two waffle irons with batter nearby. Nevermind the coffee, applesauce, tea, milk, water, and orange juise to drink.
I was stuffed.
We re-packed all the bags (I forgot where I put the car keys and tore everything apart) and got them back on the baggage cart they provided, and packed up the truck, and were on the road by 9am. It was fricken cold, and the kids conked out fairly soon after hopping on the road.

Remind me to blog about our Hotel adventures later...

Home again!

Wow, it feels good to be back...
All roadtripping is done!
I never want to do that agian...LOL
It snowed from the time we left Spokane and is still snowing now. It was the dry stuff so it pouffed everytime someone passed us going the otherway, knocking visibility down to nothing.
How I'd love to be able to say..."Yeah, I don't travel during the winter".
Life shall ocntinue now though, we'll see how we deal with the new place and our vehicles.
Spending the night at mom's house as I am just too exhausted to drag everything home right now...
We all woke up and were wide awake and ready to face the day this morning at 5:30am. Had our "buffet" breakfast at 7:30 and we were checked out and on the road by 9 this morning.
We pulled into mom's house by 6pm.
No More 8 hour road trips!!!

Now that I'm back, I need a break.

So, anywho...it's nice to be on familiar territory :o)
Am uploading pictures to Flickr right now, last thing I do before I hit the hay, two older boys are already in bed, so hopefully I'm not gonna be too long, cause I'm beat too!

Sunny

SO...
Today we had Thanksgiving dinner (again). Ronnie (and Don) cooked a torrific Turkey, and the traditional (USA) sides to go with. Was pretty good.
Have D down for a nap right now, and had H down a couple times already.
Had Ronnie go and get some Children's Tylenol cause H is running a low grade fever. Hopefully his yucky feelings will pass.
We're going to see Happpy Feet tonight in Wooster (Ronnie pronounces that Wa-ster instead of drawing out the o's :oD ). Making sure I'm gonna have agreeable kids.
My tummy has been upset the last couple days, but I'm not exactly eating things that'll help it...hehehe.
Lastnight I had a sweet snack (and I'm ashamed to be typing this) of Oreos (doublestuffs), Oatmeal Raisin cookies, Twizzler Pull'n'Peel, Mint Chocolate sticks, mandarin oranges (snack variety, not fresh), and a Pepsi. Was good.
I had chocolate milk with breakfast this morning, so that's probly what did it.

Hunter ate nicely for Ronnie lastnight, as I pumped and let her feed him. I think they both quite enjoyed.
The weather's still beautiful. Hopesully the roads will bedecent when we go home.

Relax

I'll be so happy tp get home.
I don't mind visiting in Ohio or anything, but things are just so different here that I'll be happy to get back to where things make sense, and I'm not contantly reminded of just how shallow I can be.
The kids are enjoying themselves at least.I can not believe the weather here...it's been nothing but clear skies and sunshine since we arrived...well, it was raining when we first got here, but we didn't notice, honest.
Took a shower by myself for the first time since we lft home today, was nice. The extra lotioning of Hunter seems to be paying off, and his exema seems to be dimishing, but not by the long shot i was expecting. Guess it's back to the doctor's when we get home.

I haven't been taking as many pictures as I should, so I'm hoping to make up for that over the next few days. I've only taken 100since we've left...how shameful.
Will have a lot of Flickr work to do when we get home, thankfully we have the net at home now so I won't feel guilty about using anyone for their comp...*g*
This visit has gone quite well, and other than the initial vehicle issue has been quite drama-free, thankfully.
Slept like a sardine lastnight with both kids and husband in bed lastnight, thank goodness it's a queen. *g*
The boys haven't left the Xbox alone since we got here...shameful, but oh well.
I hope to see a movie b4 we leave...we shall see.

We're here!

Okie, so here I am in Ohio. Finally in a civilized, or at least technilogically advanced home.

My Father-in-laws' home was not what it used to be, definately didn't live up to it's former glory days, but it sufficed for shelter on our visit to the hometown. We visited as many as we could in the short time that we have, and one specific family had the pleasure of our company 3 days in a row! Mainly because they had a slew of kids that D got right and rowdy with.
It was rather surreal being there again, and interesting to see whom had moved on, and whom hadn't.
I feel sorry for my husband, who is finding out what it's like to know that you're home, but not to stay. Saying good-bye is always tough, no matter who's leaving, and I don't envy him it at all.

It's true, my husband has grown a whole lot since we were last here, and it's becoming more and more apparent that he's the man that I always wanted, and knew he could be. Nothing like hindsight to show you where you are.
So, I think Hunter's jet-lagged, but we've gotten plenty of sleep the past couple of days to make up for it, and D has been napping daily with us as well. They look so cute together, sleeping on the same bed, facing the same way, hands in the same spot, and mouths open just the same.
Their similarities are endless, and never cease to amaze me. So, this is what being a sibling is all about.
How I envy them.

Another thing I don't envy my husband is the new task that's going to have to fill that void that his hometown is going to leave behind once he's had this taste.
I don't envy lonliness in the least.

Anyhow, just thought I'd give a quick update to letcha all know I'm alive, and my accent has come back two-fold and I sound like an idiot.
The flight was smooth, as was the border crossing, and am looking foreward to coming home, and getting my life back on track, because it's no longer going to be counting down to Ohio, but Christmas.
Interesting how things develop.
Off to open Christmas gifts, yay us!

Good to Go

Well, we're all packed up and read to go. It only took me all day to do it.
This is the lightest I've ever packed for a week long trip. Interesting. The kids and i took one suitcase, we could've sqeezed Chance's stuff in with ours, but then where would our reason be for the other two suitcases we're bringing? Chance put his stuff in the other big suitcase along with the extra one that compacted to fit in on top of his stuff, and the miscellaneous items I stuffed to give to relatives.
The boys are having a bit of a rough go of it for sleep tonight, none of them are finding it easy to drift off. Let's not mention the new neighbour moving in next door who sees fit to keep his 52 ft. Semi-moving truck running all night while he unloads it, or the tromping they're doing back and forth.
I got the place tidied up for Harry, and hopefully he'll have a good time whilst housesitting for us.
Need to do up an itinerary and email it to mom, like she asked.
Guess I can do that tommorow while I'm making breakfast.

Sneak Attacks

Today Snuck up on me...
It occurred to me while I was cooking breakfast for us, that shit...I need to pack because we're leaving tommorow!
I'm in no way prepared, I must have been in denial about the whole thing, acting like it was happening to someone else, and not to me.
Strange how that happens, life seems so surreal.

2+1

Well, I got my lists together of what to pack, Hopefully I remembered everything.
Looks like someone is moving into the housenextdoor/behind us.
Everyone is getting excited now. Darius woke up this mornin and said only 2 more sleeps, and one more sleep, and we'll be at Ama's! We explained that we have two more sleeps before we leave, then one more sleep in a hotel, then we'll be going to Ama's.
We didn't do a whole lot today, basically bummed around the house. Harry showed up round 1, after Chance had gone and gotten his fingerprints. They took D to the park and library, and I took H to the Doctor.
He flirted with every woman there! Chip off the old block I must say. He had a conversation with a woman in the waiting room, then he was giggling in the exam room cause I was playing with him. When I stopped to give him a breather, the Doctor came in and said we had gained an audience with all the doctors and nurses in the hallway listening. Man did I ever giggle and blush at that one. Got a prescription for an anti-biotic for my Mastitis (FINALLY) and found out H has winter Exema. Just some extra lotioning, once in the morning, and once at night. He's also got cradle cap again. Arrgh.
Chance is talking about taking him for his first haircut while in Ohio, and doing it at the same place as D did his, but it's been so long I doubt they're still in business. I'm also not sure I want his soft locks gone, I love his baby hair, especially just after his bath.
Been catching mice left right and center, I wonder what sort of precautionary measures we can take to get rid of them for good. I realize they must be coming in near out water heater, so I'm sure it'll have something to do with sealing that up.
I keep thinking all these repairs and such that we've been a part of since moving to Canada are helping us for when we get our own house (IF we choose to get one someday).
Watched UHF tonight, forgot what a funny movie that was.
Seen some cd's in Zellers while I was getting my prescrip filled that I wouldn't mind. Alas, my car only plays tapes.
I gave up on the quest to clean off this comp, hopefully we can swing a pick up from Pokie's someplace.
Hunter is such a ham.
Harry will be housesitting for us while we're gone, and he, and mom will each have a key. Mom will need to do her laundry after all (seeing as we still haven't gotten them a replacement dryer).
Alas, time to put kids to bed...

Blah on Computers

Well, I thought I had it.
I remember now why we wanted a new comp.
This thing is riddled with viruses that won't let me fix them. I've d/l-ed bunches of stuff to help me, but nothing seems to be working. I can't view my online Scotia page (probly won't want to anyways, case the info is passed on now) or get the newest version of MSN Messenger to run. Which means I'm running off of an ancient version of messenger (thankfully I actually can run any version of it).
I'm disappointed that I haven't been able to do more tho. :o(
Been trying to fix the stupid thing all night, but it's very tiring when your comp is at a counter where you don't have a chair for, and yer stuck holding a baby cause they refuse to be put down to sleep on their own.
I'm tired, and am making lists of things to pack so I don't forget anything this time.
Hopefully this trip will go smoothly.

I'm a Genius

It's true ya know. ;oD

I got our mailbox key today from CHelan and checked it out, and discovered they had attempted to deliver my modem, which I went and picked up from the local post office. I brought it home and hooked everything up all on my own, and we now have internet.
Hi Speed DSL.
So far it's not so bad, am testing it right now with a d/l of the latest version of MSN Messenger., seeing as mine is way outdated.
It's going pretty slow, btu I'm not gonna complain cause I got a main staple in my life, the net.
Now all I need is a decent stool to sit on.

I Fixed it!

Well well well.
Chance broke our DVD player yesterday...a disc got jammed in it, and instead of trying to figure out what's goin on, he yarded on it So, lastnight after the kids had gona to bed, he took it apart, and fiddled, and managed to fix it. His face was precious, cause it lit up, and he had an ear to ear grin, and he began to strut. "I fixed and electronic item"!
Well, when I turned it on, and started watching Good Morning, Vietnam, all the colours were fine, except the people. The people are blue, and it don't matter what colour they are.

We came to mom's house lastnight for dinner, and played a game of yahtzee before D drove me so bonkers that I had to go home.
Got home and gots kids into bed, and sat down to watch a movie, and decided to go to bed instead. We hit the hay, and about a half hour later, just after we had both dozed off, we both woke up, and looked at each other and made the joint decision to sleep in the living room. It was just too darned windy out.
So, there we all were, sleeping on the living room floor on a pile of blankets. Consquently, I got next to no sleep lastnight, and am exhausted and grouchy today.
So, today we tidied, and cleaned, and did laundry. Yesterday Chance was nice and watched the kids for me while I washed alls and such. After we got home I scrubbed the tub, and bathroom while he wiped out the oven. I felt like a schmo cause he got the easier of the two (I sprayed the stove earlier in the morning, and it soaked all day and just wiped right off for him, no scrubbin or nuthin).
Tonight I'm staying at mom's cause I actually want to sleep some. Nothing but wind in the forecast.
It's pretty silly when you are afraid to be in your own home.
The contractor came by today and said he recommends we redo the entire roof cause it's cheap, but insurance will only cover the hole/damage from the tree. Hopefully Chelan will opt to redo the entire roof.
So, to date we have a dmaged roof, a mice infestation (of which we've killed 3), and a damned hornet/yellow jackets nest somewhere in our ceiling. We keep finding them in the house, and can't tell where they are ocming from. When the ocntractor cut open the ceiling today, a few came out of the insulation.
Yay us.

Long Weekend

Well, was a loooooooong weekend. Chance got Friday off, had monday off for a stat, and today off as usual.
Spent Saturday night at mom's house...cause Chance got stitches in the hand after breaking a glass whilst doing the dishes at home. Actually, I think we may have spent Friday night there. I can't remember, the days just sort of blend into one another.
Mom came over and did laundry on Saturday while I finished the vacuuming (there's so many cob webs and such around that it was easier to vacuum then wash them away) which was nice cause it was a big help.
I was doing some cleaning today, got my hallway and kitchen walls washed, though not completely finished. Gonne head to the bathroom and finish the dining room next. Then it's on to our bathroom and bedroom, and then D's room. I hate cleaning.
Not much longer now and we'll be on our way to Ohio.
Am hoping to get Harry in there to house-sit for us.
Should be getting our modem on Thursday or Friday, so we'll have internet before we leave...probly hafta leave instructions not to do anything with it.
Ate some yummy spaghetti tonight, we're at mom's for some gold ole' social fun.
Had a nice talk with my husband the other night, hope some of it sinks in.
My son talks too much.
The last few nights I can honestly say Chance is kinda getting the hint about "family" time and not just "melting" his mind on the tv.
We played dress-up and had a nice sing-along together lastnight. They're getting pretty creative, I must say.
Darius played outside yesterday, and came in sopping wet because he found a puddle to get into in which he soaked his winter coat, and boots, and was soaked to the bone.
We've been giving him naps each day, slowly phasing them back in, and it seems to be working with his temper, when he gets real tired he's still quite viscious and mean, but we try not to let that happen too often.
Chance caught a couple of spiders outside under the logs that have been sitting there, and we all swear that they are part tarantula.
I need cake.
Gotta start looking for a job.

Update

Well, I've uploaded a few pix to Flickr, mostly from D's class. I tried to include only ones that had D in them with classmates, cause I don't want to infringe on any childs' rights.
We got our new phone number, and I will be emailing it to everyone.

Long Week

Well then.
So, the weekend is here, and only 8 days left until our Ohio trip. Time flies...
Darius has caught on to the fact that we need to take an airplane to Ohio. All on his own.
Well, tuesday was our 5 year anniversary, and it was actually quite nice. We went out for dinner, and went to see Saw 3. We were back by 9:30, but we really enjoyed ourselves.
We spent monday, and tuesday nights at moms house, while stuff was being estimated and such at our house. Wednesday we were all apprehensive, but we did stay at our house. I was trying to get it organized because I knew the adjuster, and the Restoration ppl would be coming inside to inspect any damage. I think it's funny that the "contractors" that the adjuster hired was Ok Restore (old employers).
Wednesday was D's "special day" at pre-school. I took him to school, and got osme pictures of the kids playing, though some are blurry because my batteries wanted to die at that moment. I will be posting them on Flickr later.
It's amazing when you don't blog for a week just how much you need to catch up on. Sheesh.
I've been trying to clean, but it's just so difficult with two kids. I get little bits done here and there, but the baby just isn't patient enough for it to be noticable.
Lastnight we went to a family christmas show at Kelowna Community Theatre. One of Kimmie's co-workers had bought himself tickets, but couldn't go, so he gave them to Kimmie. We went, and was kinda disappointing because they were missing two performers, and took the stage and hour and a half late because of travelling conditions on the Coq. But, they were good otherwise, I've never seen a Magician perform before, and was very entertained.
Afterwards I went out for a drink with Chance's co-worker Sonja. Spent 3 hours there, and quite enjoyed myself. I was very surprised at how busy the Pub was. We got stuck sitting in the smoking section cause that was all that was avaialable, and at that we were at a bar, not a table.
Woke up with the kids this morning, and had enough time to give Hunter and myself a bath, whilst D watched Monster House (he rented that and Over the Hedge on thursday night cause he went out with his co-workers) and ate watermelon.
I bought some fresh produce, and made up two platters, one with veggies, and the other with watermelon so D can snack at will, cause he is just not eating.
caught a mouse yesterday. It must've just got snapped when we got home from the show lastnight, cause we got in, took off our coats, and then we heard squealing, and scratching, so it must've panicked and tried to run away when it was caught. Poor thing suffered. Gotta go buy a bunch more traps though. *sigh*
I'm tired, it feels like I may never stop being tired.
Our house is basicaly set up, and just needs to get rid of some junk stickin round the house.
So, just trying to figure out what we're gonna get up to today.
I'm hungry, and tired...and so is Hunter.
He rolled over for Daddy this morning, and I've been trying to catch him doing it on video ever since, cause I haven't seen him do it yet.
Kids, always got for daddy first. What a pisser.

uploaded some pix to Flickr

Oh My God!

Holy Doodle!
Shit. I don't think I've ever been so scared in my life!
We're sitting in the living room...Mom, D, H, and myself, and Chance was in D's room resting on his bed. We were watching the willow tree in our yard cause the branches were hanging completely horizontal cause it was so windy. Outta nowhere's we hear a huge crash (actually a series of Four or so) and the house is shaking. mom jumps up and whilst holding Hunter jumps into the corner, D hops into my lap, and I scoot as far away from the side windows as I can, and it's still thumping (I'm screaming). The thumping stops, Chance comes out of the room and asks what happened, and I say The fucking tree fell on the house! There was a rather large segment of a tree on our house that I could see through the window. We proceed to scoop up kids, get them dressed and out of the house. I grabbed a change of clothes (am still in grunge pj's) for me and Hunter, and went outside. Chance was out there looking at the treetop that had fallen. Says he'll meet us at moms, who has loaded up D and Hunter for me. I stop to look when I got to my car, and realized that the tree broke in two places. One hit just above where Chance was resting (D's bed), and the treetop itself hit the middle of the roof, bounced, and landed resting on the side of the house and the ground. There's branches of debris all over the place, and I couldn't get out of there fast enough.
I was still shaking when I got to moms, and it was real hard not to cry. I know some of my glass stuff fell, but I'm not sure what fell or even if it broke, we left that fast.
I'm all tense now.
So, when we got here, mom called our landlord (she's a co-worker of mom's, same department and everything) to let her know what happened, and Chance went back to grab the camera and take some pictures. She arranged a few things, then headed over to check the damage. Apparently those trees aren't on her/our property, but a neighbours, that she's been asking to have them cut down for a while now. They better be coming down within the next week or so help me, I'm gonna raise hell like I never have before.
So, we'll be eating at mom's house tonight, and depending on weather, and damage, could possibly stay here tonight as well.

Hope it scared the shit out of that goddamned mouse.

Chance has become the great mouse hunter again, by the way.
He's been staying up each night trying to catch the one mouse romping our house.
Apparently he's a brave bastard, coming on the ocunters and such, and he also has a thing for peanut butter.
Fucking animals.

Sunday, November 05, 2006

So, I guess the new place is ok. I'm getting used to the noises of the neighbourhood and the house. It sure has been windy the past few days.
Each night I take a step out for a while and listen to the noises, cause I keep spooking myself into thinking someone's outside, and once I learn what's making the noises, I'm ok.
Just sorting through the stuff in mom's house now, trying to get all the little stuff. Got some extra plastic containers for my storage at home because I don't want anything out for the mouse to get into. Apparently it has a thing for Peanut Butter.
Trying to get my laundry done today, I'd like for the silly dryer to be over at our place so I can do it, but it's more entertaining doing it here cause there's TV. I guess everything has it's pros and cons.
Went out to the casino lastnight, and won 140 bux. Yay me.
Gosh, I'm feeling a touch out-pf-date without Cable at home, or a phone for that matter. I should start turning the radio on. Hmm. For some reason our computer stopped playing audio cd's. Dunno why, but you can hear all the other noises the comp makes.
Been slowly going through everything and sorting, and tossing. Boy, it's a tough, time-consuming job. Combine that with taking care of the kids, and I'm amazed I can even get the kids fed in a decent fashion.

Darius' behaviour has been getting better, little by little. He's beginning to understand the rules of the house, and though he may not like them, he does listen without taking 20 times to tell him.

I haven't even taken any pictures of the place. What a shame. I'm hoping to play in the yard soon with the kids, on a day where it's not so windy.

Chance introduced himself to the neighbours today. Oh boy. They both have dogs, and one of them is a rotweiler named Pepsi.

I'm tired.

I Hate Mice

Well, we're pretty much settled in.
Had to take out a window yesterday to get our couch in the living room cause our front doorway has funny dimesions.
I noticed as I was tidying the kitchen yesterday that my loaf of bread had some nibbles in it, and I thought D had pulled it out and put it back, until I realized that the nibbles were right through the plastic.
Fuck.
So, it's a good thing I had a complete Tupperware storage set in my storage unit that had been brought to the house, cause I need it. Hopefully I can get some kind of mouse poison and get them all. Watching a movie lastnight I could hear them digging around in my cupboards. Yuck.

Watched an old home video from Ohio, when I was pregnant, and just after I had Darius. Darius enjoyed watching himself as a baby. But he conked out on me on the couch at 8:30. Was a nice quiet evening...Chance had to work from 7:00-11:30, D fell asleep at 8:30, and Hunter knocked out around 9:30. So, two whole hours of quiet in which I watched The Usual Suspects and Gia.
Then I went to bed.
Gotta do some shopping today...thrift of course, to pick up some dishrags, and a few other minor things that I'm missing in the house.
Here's to cheap filling.

Moving Sucks

Wow.
I forgot just how hard moving was. Stupid.
A week straight with only about 5 hours of sleep averaging. Sheepers.
I guess I've got the easy end of it, minding the kids, unpacking boxes, and cleaning...yeah, right.
Chance has been bringing in load after load of crap from storage that we just don't need, but I will have to go through none-the-less.
Just like Christmas though. I found my dishes were wrapped in pajamas I forgot I even had! Was kinda neat. Just waiting on my dryer now, cause everything that was in storage needs to be washed. And even though I hand washed all my dishes today, I'd like to run them through the dishwasher, just hafta get some soap.
At the grocery store today (yes, I forgot to buy the dishwasher soap) I only spent 45 bux on groceries (technically 75 cause i had that wonderful $25 g/c) which really surprised me. I forgot how cheap we were when it was just us...LOL My fridge still looks empty for lack of fresh items and condiments, but I'm not in a hurry to fill it up. I've got enough to last us until our trip.
Our tickets haven't arrived yet.
The place was filthy, and I've got my work cut out for me with the cleaning. They didn't do one stinking thing, I certainly wouldn'tve been showing that place to anyone with it looking like that. The cupboard are filthy, with droppings and dead bugs and cob webs, and spiders. The walls still have crayon markings on them, along with all of the handprints. The windows haven't been cleaned in ages. At least at moms place I did the windows about every 5 months. Yuck.
It seems kinda ghetto, but it's ours now, and I'm going to make the best on it for now.
Darius enjoys it, but he's terrified to be anywhere's in there by himself, unless he can clearly hear me. Understandable, I get the jitters anyplace by myself at night, so I putr a radio in his room, and read him a couple of books before bedtime lastnight.
I'm not putting cable in, we've got enough movies to tide me over for a while. I need to be able to focus on getting us all onto some scheduals, and getting the discipline back in our court. It's so hard not to just tell him that he makes me feel so angry I wish I could just walk out and not look back. Thank goodness that feeling is only fleeting.
Now to focus foreward, and just get my stuff in order for our trip down south. I was truly hoping to visit Eric, but that's basically just wishful thinking. I feel kinda bad cause I don't have anyone there besides Grandpa Klusty, Shannon & Brooke, and Ronnie that I wanna see there. Not that they aren't reason enough to visit, but what are we gonna do when Chance goes to visit his friends? I also feel kinda bad cause I look exactly the same as when i left. I wish I could've gone last year before I started gaining from pregnancy. Oh well, can't win em all, I mean, I have had four months to shed the exccess poundage.
Thought I'd take a nice quiet visit to Nana's so Hunter could visit his Kimmie.
I hate getting used to new house sounds.
It started snowing this morning...and hasn't stopped. It's wet, heavy sticky stuff. Time to break out the snow gear...it kind of surprised me, but what can i expect for November 2nd? My car still runs in it, and so far the tires haven't given me any toruble, but my windows won't roll down. Oh ell, I guess that just means no drive through for me.
Got some last minute scrounging to do at moms house cause I forgot all the little things here, funny how that happens when looking at the big picture.
I'm tired, and am oging to need to keep a steady stream of some sort of caffine in the house until I can wean myself off of it. *sighs*
Hopefully we can hook up a phone and internet in the near future, cause right now we're workin on no phone of any kind. haven't bothered to get minutes for our cells in a while. guess we should for emergency purposes.
Million and one things to do, but if I take them one at a time, I'll be allright. Chance still needs to learn that. Poor thing.
